Woman in the papers today given a police caution 8 years ago because she left her 6yo alone for 45 mins while she had a driving lessson.
Begs the question. |
|
By:
Shush you aren't allowed to be critical. Is that woman a doctor or does she have friends in high places.
I think we know the answer. So there you go, that's why. |
|
By:
As all fathers have had time to talk about this with other fathers, the 100% opinion of my mates, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, and father-in-law, is that if one of our kids went missing, we wouldn't do as the Tapas 5 did, which was to fack off to bed at midnight and leave the parents looking for their child.
McCann was handing out copies of photos not long after the child was allegedly taken, that weren't made in the Mark Warner site office, as she said they were. McCann playing tennis the next day, like any normal parent does, apparently. McCann laboriously pulling out the child's 'favourite toy' from her handbag at every interview. But the sniffer dog found it discarded in the bottom of a cupboard. Why take it away from her? And loads more. All very odd. |
|
By:
Even if one is able to dispassionately get past the tragedy of a child being missing, to focus purely on the known evidence, it is still extremely difficult to understand what might have happened to Madeleine McCann.
If you're of a belief that the parents were somehow involved in her death, how do you explain a body hidden so successfully within such a short time frame? And, moreover, one that's never been found to this day despite being in the world's spotlight. It seems implausible to me that they could have mananged it? If, conversely, you believe Madeleine was abducted by a stranger, how do you explain the reactions of those two highly trained sniffer dogs, or some of the bizarre behaviour of the McCanns and their friends? Neither scenario seems very likely to me, yet I suppose one of them must be true. |
|
By:

As far as I'm aware, there is no irrefutable proof that she was there to be taken. |
|
By:
What about the sniffer dog's reactions? They seemed to indicate the presence of a dead body in the apartment.
|
|
By:
Two dogs.
A 'blood' dog and a 'cadaver' dog. At different times. Found both aromas at the junction of the skirting boards and the floorboards, behind the sofa, that the McCanns say had never been moved. Didn't the dog find the smell of death in a car they hired after she disappeared? |
|
By:
Supposedly, yes, but that is just inexplicable. How is is feasibly possible that a body could have been in that car? The whole world was looking at them.
|
|
By:
The dogs are for hire to anybody who can afford them, and have been used in the USA. They cost £350 a day plus the handlers wages, and legend has it that they have never been wrong.
Of course, this doesn't identify the perpetrator(s), just the fact that there has been 'death' or 'blood' at the scene they 'sniffed'. And I would assume that once that has been proved, SOME criminals own up and plead guilty for a lesser sentence. |
|
By:
Yes, I get that CMAT, and I actually have great faith in the dogs' undoubted abilities. But how does one square that with evidence of a dead body being found in a car hired three weeks after the disappearance? Are we supposed to believe that, after hiding the body three weeks earlier, the McCanns decided to move it somewhere else?
Such a notion seems ridiculous, they were in the glare of the world'd media. |
|
By:
If the McCanns are guilty, proven or not, this implicates at least one of the Tapas 5, the woman who gave a statements, then changed them.
According to Mr McCann's statements of where he stood in the street talking to another resident (not a Tapas 5 member) either McCann is lying, the Tapas 5 woman is lying, or they are both lying. If she says the man carrying the child was where she said he was, at the time she said he was, then McCann and the man he spoke to would have seen him walk past. They didn't see anybody. The man McCann spoke to in the street says they were on the opposite side of the road to McCann's statement, and they spoke for about 3 minutes, not the 10 to 15 minutes that McCann stated. McCann's statement was false, as was the Tapas 5 woman's statement. She also changed her statement later from a 'child in pyjamas, wrapped in a blanket' to a much more wholly accurate description of the clothes the child was allegedly wearing, including her slippers. when she was allegedly abducted. |

I posted a few pages back about a strange bag of 'rubbish' that was found dumped by the side of the Luz-Faro road , which included some adult clothes, children's things and a shower curtain .
I do agree that it seems unlikely that it would be riskier to leave a body in a hiding place that had withstood 3 weeks of searches than to move it at a time when you maybe under suspicion. Thoug the notion that the McCanns were never out of sight of the media is not correct really . They may have been on TV every day but just standing in the street outside their apartment or at news conferences .Their hire car had an extraordinary amount of miles on it when they'd finished with it and once they drove off they were not being followed by a convoy of news vans . |

On the other hand...there are people like me who don't discuss with mates, brothers, in-laws or fathers in general, HOW we would react in the kind of situation faced by the parents OR 'The Tapas Five'. Because, try as I might, I had to concede that I didn't know anybody who could tell me what it was ACTUALLY like to be in that position...and how they ACTUALLY reacted.
I can only suggest that, in spite of his dedicated work in eliciting the opinion of all of his circle of male friends and relatives, CMAT hasn't actually asked ANYBODY who could give a factual response. It is all fine and dandy for people to say "Well, I would do this" or "I wouldn't do that" but that is totally irrelevant. Only people who have actually been in that position can give an opinion on how a 'normal' person might react. As for conflicting/changing statements...they don't have to be lies (intentional untruths), they are more likely simple mistakes in recollection. Perhaps even caused to a small degree by aggressive or biased questioning. Inspector? Amaral does seem to have been pushing for a murder charge. The last paragraph was just my opinion, of course. |

"Well, I would do this" or "I wouldn't do that" but that is totally irrelevant. Only people who have actually been in that position can give an opinion on how a 'normal' person might react. You do talk some sh!te. How would you know that for certain, would they all behave the same way, just because you think they will? All my mates and family are NORMAL fathers, some of whom I have known for over 40 years. We all go on holidays, sometimes together. They were 'FAMILY' holidays, not LET'S LEAVE THE KIDS ALONE AND GO OUT ON THE LASH EVERY NIGHT' holidays. We NEVER left our children unattended. We didn't get babysitters and fack off out on the lash. The McCanns didn't WANT babysitters. Even though they were as cheap as chips on their income. Their reason was 'Madeleine doesn't like strangers.' But the babysitters for hire were the same staff that ran the day care centre, where she got put every day, so they weren't strangers. And if she kept waking up crying, assuming she wasn't sedated by her parents, why didn't she scream the place down when the 'stranger' abducted her? As you insist on defending this pair of Cambridge punts, I must assume you either have no children and don't know how 'proper' fathers behave on holiday, or you have a child or children, and you 'mislaid' one some time ago, so that makes it excusable. And that goes for anybody else on here who defends them. |

'the lash' they were 100 yards away in a quiet bar, not legless in town a few miles away, there were regular check ups.

I was simply pointing out that it is to know HOW one would react in that situation until it actually happens. We can all pontificate upon how we think we would cope...but that only leads us all to agree with the route suggested by you and your mates. But that is only how 'normal' people THINK they would react.
I have no idea about how the 'Tapas Five' actually reacted but I would say that, up to that point, they were considered to be normal people and, therefore, I have no problem in accepting that their behaviour would be representative of what normal people would do. |

I have no idea about how the 'Tapas Five' actually reacted The last one went to bed at midnight. Just like 'normal' people do when their friends child is missing. but I would say that, up to that point, they were considered to be normal people and, therefore, I have no problem in accepting that their behaviour would be representative of what normal people would do Do you consider yourself normal? Is that what you would have done, gone to bed at midnight? Ohh.... of course you can't answer that, it hasn't happened to you...has it? |

The McCanns deserve every bit of internet abuse they get
If you are lucky enough to have a daughter, you are supposes to look after them and care for them anyway it is only people expressing their feelings on this matter, free speech and all that scandanavian_haven • November 16, 2014 10:33 PM GMT 'the lash' they were 100 yards away in a quiet bar, not legless in town a few miles away, there were regular check ups. How about getting a baby sitter? There was plenty of evidence from people at the Hotel, they were leaving Maddie every night while out on the town 'legless' Maddie begged them not to go, makes you want to cry does it not? |

Funny how they like U to know that..(begged them not to go)..........thats wot makes me thing that she wasent in the room that night.....i.e. She dident realy search for her
