I was/am a skilled baker by trade. Unfortunately had to leave the profession (a life time ago now) when i developed asthma from a flour allergy.

Can only imagine trying to write for a living in this day and age is a virtual impossibility.
Book publishers won't look at anything unless it is something to with celebrity culture.
TV companies and what was once known as Fleet Street have undergone massive a redundancy programme during the past decade.
Most newspaper jobs are given to graduate internees who are usually shown the door after their first six months or , with luck, maybe a year.
Those on here who wanted to earn their living as writer, don't know how lucky they are to have escaped the egocentric rat-race - it's even worse than the acting profession!
