Been getting a bloody annoying pop up several times per day saying a new version is available.

In the end I thought the only way to stop the fekker was to install  it, so did that and was congratulated for it, which was very nice of them!

So why are they still bothering me every blasted day?

I had same thing, they have seen we are heavy porn users and by installing it we will have a better audio experience.

Same here, congratulations from them, too, as if I'd won a gold medal at the commonwealth games (not Olympics to be fair to them).
Might uninstall because they've irritated me with their false praise.
But if I uninstall it??
World ends?

Don't install any Java 'updates' from popups, go to the java site to check you have the latest version.  Run malwarebytes, I would imagine you'll have malware installed by a website, I checked my old mans yesterday as he was getting these, there were four trojans to be removed.

If you have ccleaner or suchlike go to startup options and turn off java updater SunJavaUpdateSched

I keep getting them too , though pop ups do seem from the original Java site , unless you'r on a dodgy movie site where you should close very pop up

Thing is you go to download & it tells me i already have the latest version installed , very annoying Crazy

The problem is usually an old version that hasn't been deleted properly.  So go to the java site to see what the current version is and look at control panel/programs and see what is there.
