Operation Yewtree are asking for anyone ever bitten by Luis Suarez to come forward now. ![]() ![]() Burton-Brewers • June 26, 2014 8:46 PM BST he wont apologise he's a sneaky coward He is no coward BB, he's a real man who has been brought up in tough conditions In Uruguay I imagine football is a man's game However he owes an apology to his own teammates and country, he has let them down, not intentionally I believe they need him on the pitch The trouble with us, we are turning into a load of weak. wimpy women However rules are rules |

FIFA bottled it.
Was expecting at least 6 months ban Bet he can't believe his luck |
|
By:
I hope The fact that he has seriously let down his own country, they really cannot do without him
brings him to his senses, he must control that temper of his When Beckham got himself sent off against Argentina all those years ago, he let us down, although he tried to make up for it since If he does this again, I think he will be banned for good he needs a long look at himself now perhaps Emden? but 4-6 months about right imo |

Uruguay are through to the quarters but have lost Suarez, he must feel great shame for this
if he also feels ashamed for the bite, well that is all to the good so maybe an apology is appropriate, once he has calmed down, I hope he gives one later He is a great player, we would miss him if he is not out on football pitch but it is now D day for him personally, I feel just my opinion |

4 months ban issued during the season would have been fine - but most of the ban will be served pre season. |

oh well...I want to see him play for Liverpool again
when he not biting people, I like him very much as player |
|
By:
part of his punishment is being banned from this WC
|
|
By:
leaving Pool pretty pronto

a great player and I mean great (a different league to Rooney etc).
Probably the player of the tournament so far, so a real pity he's got a ban but.... FFS you have GOT to learn from your previous mistakes OR be prepared to face the punishment. |
|
By:
He is facing it..you do not see how bad it will be him
if URUGUAY DO NOT WIN WORLD CUP....he will always feel he contributed to it He already has all the fame and money anyone would ever want..he would rather play in the WC and then face a long ban Suarez is not getting away with anything believe me.... he will never bite again just my opinion |
|
By:
He may feel Uruguay would never have anyway, even if he played
but I think there will always be a doubt in his mind, |

In reply to bigmo, the absence of premeditation does not make what Suarez done right nor should it mean he should escape punishment. That he should miss the rest of the world cup was inevitable and fair. The length of the punishment is not even what I am arguing about. His punishment is feeling guilty about letting down his country. Its a very severe punishment but I would not argue it was the right one.
I don't believe he had any self control over his actions for the split second he committed the offence. In that sense it was not premediatated where he had longer to think about something and use his self control. His self control was absent. He was not in his right mind at the time. For those few seconds. I am not saying he is insane but for a few seconds he had no control over his mind and so it was an illness. I think the nature of football at both club and international level means he will have little sympathy outside of Uruguay and Liverppol. But he never killed anyone. No one was even hurt. |

typ....I would not argue it was the wrong punishment.

I can understand the reaction of the Italian player and the Italian team during the match but afterwards and with a chance to think about things I would have had a lot of respect for the Italian player bitten if he had tried to stick up for Suarez in some way.
Suarez is not a bad person. Infact I wish more players were like him off the field. Think I am allowed to show empathy with one of the few modern day players who lives up to the tag of being great and someone who is wonderful off the pitch. Case now closed. Others will disagree and that's fine. |

I will agree paddletoe
another bite would end his career I am sure of that, obviously it can't go on, but enough punishment for now |

paddletoe - thanks for your reply.

I'm a clinical psychologist and to me it's clear he was a bit peckish - he just needs treatment, sort of a hunger management course.
Oh, and he's a disgrace to mankind. |

He missed their first game, scored two against some no-hopers and then should've been sent off against Italy. Maradona '86, he wasn't. |

He has been given a heroes welcome back in Uruguay. Not condoning what he did but the reaction in Uruguay seems one of it being a nothing incident and something which happens in Uruguayan football.
Shame he will miss out on the biggest match he will ever likely play while he is at his peak. |
|
By:
Well he missed a World Cup semi through suspension, so he's probably used to it by now.
I agree with most of what you've said earlier. Chiellini has spoken out in Suarez' defence since the ban was imposed. |

Pure comedy gold from Suarez in his defence:
"After the impact ... I lost my balance, making my body unstable and falling on top of my opponent. At that moment I hit my face against the player leaving a small bruise on my cheek and a strong pain in my teeth." ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
