That is incredible - I honestly thought - oh well another nasty turn of events and totally undeserved.  Doesn't it lift your heart to hear such good news.

Well that year's flew by.

Last year I gave her a valentines card whilst she was in a coma, this year I left it on the table in the dining room and she opened it once she walked down the stairs this morning. Grin

Many of you already know that Tracey's made a much better recovery than the Doc's thought she ever would, she's walking round the house unaided, albeit wobbly on her feet. She's also managed to get to a couple of Derby matches this season and a trip to Uttoxeter races in the last few months, which has meant quite a bit of walking with a stick.

She does an NHS physio session every three or four weeks plus a private physio each week, it all seems to help her. Her main problem is a subluxed  shoulder which causes her pain, the specialists saw her last week to see if they need to fuse her shoulder or see if things improve in time, they chose the latter for now because it could take two and a half years for the nerves to regrow. The left arm still has no movement yet.

She's back working two days a week, which she's really enjoying, and she does a bit from home one day a week. There's still loads of hospital/doctors appointments she has to go to but things are looking good. Before we know it it'll be Feb 2016 and I hope I can add some more good news then.

Thanks for all the well wishes we received on here.  Cool

Great news, Kenbo. Good luck to you and your wife. We moan and worry about the little things, like losing a lay bet but at the end of the day those things are so unimportant. What matters is our family and good health. You have come a long way in the last 12 months, long may it continue!

Good luck & good health Kenbo & Mrs Kenbo  Happy

This has been so touching.  Very rarely have I read EVERY post on one thread. From everything Mr and Mrs Kenbo have been through, to the messages of warmth and encouragement from so many contributors. Thank you for sharing this s.kenbo, it puts everything into perspective.  May I add my own wishes to you both. The courage and strength that you've displayed has been inspirational.
