I'm overwhelmed by all these positive replies, thank you all so much.

It doesn't sound very good for my poor wife though. It sounds as though her spine has been starved from a blood supply, and that that section is now dead, and can never be brought back to life. I just pray that the doc's are wrong.
My best case scenario now sounds like things of my worse nightmares, and that is that she is paralysed from the shoulders down, but is able to breathe for herself.

I can remember posting on a thread recently, asking us to rate our 2013, I almost gave a 10 out 10 because our life was so perfect. It's cruel how things can change so soon in life.

Please get better Tracey.

Jee-sus, Kenbo, awful, just awful, rotten things happen to good people all the time, where's the justice? Really thinking about you both and hope the best case gets a lot better.

^^ That is so true Ken. I'm not just saying this because she's in a bad way, but she really is the most beautiful, caring, funny women you will ever meet.

I was punching well above my weight the day I pulled her. Laugh

Opened this thread up today in the hope that there were signs of improvement - desperately sorry for you both that the news doesn't look good.

Keep us updated - really hope things turn around.

S.Kenbo, what a terribly sad story. Life is so fragile, all the things we take for granted are just hanging by a thread. I wish you and your wife all the best and I hope you both manage to adjust in time and share lots of smiles and love in the future.

Ken Masters hang your head in shame for what you just posted.

David,

KM has been very sympathetic to Kenbo's situation, and Kenbo himself lightened the mood of the thread by mentioning punching above his weight when he pulled his wife. Ken was just doing likewise and I'd be amazed if it wasn't taken in good humour by Kenbo.

It's all his other posts for the last few years that Masters should hang his head in shame for.

Roger, ok fair enough, that makes it a lot more understandable. It read as incredibly crass and insensitive to me and I just posted my immediate response, but you're right, I'm just posting on a public forum and I don't know the relationship between the two. If S.Kenbo isn't offended , that's all that matters. If that's the case, sorry Ken.

......................................................................................

That could almost have been me typing that in the autumn of 2011. Up in the morning with an exciting week ahead, and the best thing that ever happened to me was her usual bubbly happy self. By lunchtime a sudden, fatal heart attack had ended it all. The best I can say s.kenbo is, where there's life, there's hope. I wish you all you wish for yourself and your missus.

I've just read s.kenbo's 01.41 post and have now got something in my eye. That was desperately sad to read that. I just hope the doctors can perform a miracle and get her up and about again.

ken it might not seem it but if they say she will breath for herself that is a massive plus. It's tough but you will adapt and overcome

Yes, quite, reading that makes me think perhaps I shouldn't takes Mrs M quite as much for granted as I do, I might pop into the Texaco garage on the way home tonight, make a proper Valentines of it.

I hope time's the healer it's often reported to be Alias, really.

Blimey! What a tragic story.

Puts betting, naps comps, petty arguments, hassles at work, and everything else
into it's real perspective.

Family and loved ones so important and quite often taken for granted.

Really hope and pray that there's better times ahead for you both.

Without sounding like a broken record, thank you guys so much. Your words really do help even though I don't know any of you personally.

A slightly better update tonight. She's still unable to breathe for herself, but they are bringing her out of her induced sleep gradually. She's opening her eyes every now and then, and she's also very aware of who is around her.
The best news of all though, is that she managed to give my finger a squeeze today. Which has given me so much hope.

Alias, your story makes me realise that this nightmare could be so much worse. At least Tracey is alive, and I'm still able to tell her how much I love her. I'm sorry for your loss, and I hope time really is a great healer.
