Ok apart from "Wintons F1sting Fury" which are your genuine 3 most disturbing films.
It may throw up a few gems for the film buff(s).They dont have to be horror

In particular no order

Jacobs Ladder
Eraserhead
Anti Christ

Honourable mention:The Woodsman

`Spoorloos`, the Dutch original of `The Vanishing`.  20 years on, the final scene is still engraved in my mind.

Tarka the Otter
Bambi

You all know why for both of these.

Add that to the Passion of Christ also a personal one here , The Fighting Sullivans a real tear jerker the premise for Saving Private Ryan. It changed USA policy on family members serving together during war.

My mother had to take me out from the cinema showing the Disney animated film The Rescuers when i was a child, as i was shouting and crying, so it must be the one for me. I think it's the witch character who did put me off

I actually enjoyed Eraserhead, didn't find it creepy at all.

Anybody remember Salem's Lot though? As a teenager that kept me awake, cowering by a sash window, many a night-time.
