Meanwhile, the rest of the population seem to be doing a good job of enjoying themselves and managing to get along with each other. Win-win I'd say. |

Funny thing is, I spend the rest of the year on here being told London is a crime ridden area where you can't step outside your door for fear of immigrant criminals, which is why all the nice white people have left.

I had to laugh after reading this because a couple of days ago ITV London lead story came from Brixton as they displayed every ethnic group you could think of declaring their gratitude for britain letting them in somali, iraqi, bangladeshi, you name it they had them - and then you see the crowds - hardly a coloured face amongst them ha ha!!! You draw what conclusion you like from it. |

A lot of foreigners simply don't know how to behave (with the exception of the Yanks,Canadians, and western Europeans) ,they have a different set of rules to us .

Let's say that figure is true. So all things being statistically equal, if you look at the crowd you would expect 1 in 5 people to be a non white. That just isn't the case is it. Out of all the thousands of people on tv over the last few days there is hardly an ethnic amongst them. Very, very, noticeable by their absence, and no matter how hard the BBC try looking for them, they just aren't there! To me, the vast majority of people who have settled in England have just not assimilated and never will. These last few days of celebration seem to back this up. You can give people a british passport but you cannot change their cultural and ethnic allegiance. |

does it surprise you considering what has been done to these people in the past in the name of the royals? Just have a look at windsor castle and see the amount of artefacts that have been stolen from the former empire.

oh and BTW I would say that 50% of the people there were foreigners. I can say that because I went down to the Thames on saturday and saw it with my own eyes. How many of you lot on this thread made it down to the Thames or The Mall or Hyde Park?

thats the trouble with the media they think london equates to westmister,the city,west end etc,and not the sprawling mass of deprevation and poverty of the inner city as shown by the coverage of sky and the bbc over the last 4 days not a mention of the fact that those taking part are a miniscule proportion of the population,slightly more than chelsea got for their parade,  |

You see the thing is, that is just not true. It wasn't noticable in that the very vast maority of people just don't look at a crowd like that. There are so many other things to think about before doing a head count of the colours of people in it. I find it very peculiar way to think. |
