Not sure why you'd expect people from ethnic minorities (particulary blacks and asians) to give two figs about the monarchy. Few of them are more than second or third generation, so it's clearly not so much a part of their cultural heritage than it is for indigenous Brits.
For what it's worth, I was in the City earlier, and as far as I could tell, there were huge numbers of Americans, Canadians and Europeans in the crowds. If you're ever in Amsterdam on Queen's Day, you'll notice that loads of the crowd are tourists too. |

Que? It's perfectly obvious that we're talking about London (it's in the thread title and, until I mentioned Amsterdam, no-one had mentioned any other city). The area that I was in is known by all and sundry who have ever worked or lived there as 'the City'.
If I said to anyone in the home counties that I worked in the City, they'd know exactly what I meant. |

No doubt the BBC will have spotters out looking for some people from one of the 'minority' communities, so that they can conduct an interview and show us how everyone is integrating in the multicultural melting pot that London has become.
Unfortunately, out of all the millions that live in London, none of them have bothered to turn up. The BBC must be sickened. |
