tbh I can't understand why they made such a bloody mess of it.

The number one rule of advertising tasks and design tasks is plagiarise. See what the professionals do, and copy it.

Hence the best uniform was a clear rip-off of Emirates. The other team must have misunderstood copying the pro's, with the short skirt and halter top.

And who the f markets airlines with an explosion in the logo, or Highway to Hell on the soundtrack? It's beyond stupid.

Sabrina's quite nice but I fear she'd cut my chap off in my sleep once she finds out about Camilla and I.

they have failed week after week to step up to any sort of decent standard.

they may be ok within their own field, but likely if hes setting up with any of these they
will need a lot of help

makes me laugh
it like sending the teams with 5 grand each to bet on the horses.
one team loses 4 grand
and the other team loses 3 grand,

and the team who loses the three grand gives high fives to each other on winning the task

There was a trail at the end with Alan Sugar asking for applicants for 2019.

It does seem odd that they show such ineptitude week in week out. At the interview stage, they continue to make the same mistakes.

But when it comes to the final, tbf, they put in an a very good performance.

I'd like to see a programme where a business is started and you see how they grow it.  Whether they're any good at jet washing a patio or making a doughnut is most likely irrelevant to them.

It is all in the editing. The tasks are edited to show mistakes, pratfalls and screaming rows. The final is edited to show competence.

Suppose a task takes 2 days, and they work 6 hours a day. It might be more given they wake up before dawn most weeks but then they must stop for breakfast, lunch and so on, so call it six hours. There are two teams, each split into two subteams.

So each task generates 2 x 6 x 2 x 2 = 48 hours of footage, give or take. Maybe only 40 hours. The point is that all that footage has to be edited down to 20 or 30 minutes for broadcast, and that in that 40 hours or so there are bound to be a few ****-ups for the producers to highlight. Imagine 40 hours of raw footage of your workplace or your family, and what the Apprentice editors could make of it.

Ram - yes, I was thinking along similar lines on the basis that if you recall Junior Apprentice, the kids came across as well as, if not better than the adults.

It would be downright nasty to make children look foolish by focusing on their mistakes which, as you say, is probably exactly what they do in the regular series.
