Tragic news, this fella packed more life into a saturday afternoon than most of todays vaucous celebrity simpletons do in a lifetime.

A tremendous life, for those in doubt check out his wiki page for a factual outline of this guys life and achievements of this remarkable character.

Tragic news

For God's sake. He made it to 84. Sad? Yes. Tragic? No.

Tragedy is when young kids lose a parent, or worse, when parents lose a kid.

The death of an 84-year-old batchelor is not tragic.

Used to love the way he addressed big-wigs in some organisations by their occupation:
e.g. the head of British Rail - thankyou for coming Mr Trains, let's go fixit for this youngster ...
or
the head of a night-club as Mr Sounds, I say let's fixit together for junior to mix some notes.
A much loved gentleman. RIP.

Absolute legend Sir Jimmy. There's going to be a lot said now his crack lawyers can't do anything but for now let's remember him as the nation's favourite uncle.

Incidentally Sir Jimmy has no recollection of ever visiting a children's home in Jersey.

Who will now be anointed as supreme ruler of the world now that the most powerful man in the UK is dead?

Expect some global turmoil for a while now that Saville isn't about to have a word and cover stuff up

"The most powerfull man in the (uk)WORLD"if you please LF

With Savile now gone,do NOT be suprised if the middle east turns into a huge battleground, not to mention NO-One to keep the lid on China and Russia, you think thought the world was  heading for afinacial crisis BEFORE the great Golden Salamander died?
