i have not disputed what you said. i merely asked for you to explain the relevance between coming under fire and it being acceptable to be conducting social and/or commercial business with a convicted paedophile.

the relevance is that he deserves some respect and the paedophile has presumably served his sentence. some people are hard work.

From The Guardian :

Ministers have been alarmed by the prince's links with Jeffrey Epstein, a billionaire US financier who served a prison sentence for soliciting an underage girl for prostitution. The Mail on Sunday reported that the FBI is to reopen its investigation into Epstein over allegations of his involvement with underage girls.

A picture was released last week of the prince with his arm round Virginia Roberts, then aged 17, who claims she was sexually exploited by Epstein and his friends. The teenager said she met the prince who allegedly enjoyed regular massages at Epstein's home.

In March 2005, a woman contacted Palm Beach police, concerned that her 14-year-old step daughter had been taken to Epstein’s mansion by an older girl and paid $300 after stripping to her knickers and massaging the man while he masturbated. She had told him that she was 18 years old. She undressed but had left on her underwear. By 2011 at least 40 girls aged 13 to 17 had come forward with similar stories, some saying Epstein sexually assaulted them during the massage.

On February 6, 2008, an anonymous Virginia woman filed a $50 million civil lawsuit in federal court against Epstein, alleging that when she was a 16-year-old minor in 2004-2005, she was "recruited to give Epstein a massage." After being brought to his Palm Beach mansion, she claims that he exposed himself and had sexual intercourse with her, and paid her $200 immediately afterward. A similar $50 million suit was filed by a different woman in March 2008 who was represented by the same lawyer. Several of these lawsuits were dismissed and all other lawsuits were settled out of court.  He has so far made 17 out-of-court settlements, and some cases are ongoing.

Fairness for Epstein?

Jeffrey Epstein’s year-long probation ends today. Epstein’s punishment didn’t fit his crimes, but that hasn’t stopped the billionaire money manager who paid teenage girls for sex and massages at his Palm Beach mansion from complaining.

Epstein whined to probation officers about the restrictions of his sentence. Yeah, he had it tough. During the first four months of this year, Epstein traveled nearly every week to his home in New York City or his private Caribbean island — with the approval of his probation officers. During the 13 months he served of his 18-month sentence — in the Palm Beach County Jail instead of state prison, where inmates with such sentences usually go — Epstein was let out on weekdays and some weekends as part of a work-release program.

Epstein’s soft time flowed from his soft treatment by state and federal law enforcement officials after Palm Beach police first turned his case over to former State Attorney Barry Krischer in 2006.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI investigated after allegations that Mr. Krischer’s office wasn’t doing enough. Instead of filing charges that would have led to more prison time, federal officials struck an unusual, secret non-prosecution agreement in which Epstein would plead guilty to the state charges, register as a sex offender and serve the 18 months.

Spencer Kuvin, the attorney for the woman who was 14 when she first gave Epstein a sexually charged massage, said of his client, now 20, “Both the criminal process and the civil process just really disgusted her. She felt that he didn’t receive anywhere near the punishment he should have received.” His client, along with about two dozen others, reached a confidential settlement with Epstein.

Civil lawsuitsAn unusual part of Epstein's ‘plea bargain’ with prosecutors was that Epstein’s alleged victims were allowed to bring civil proceedings against him.[14]

On February 6, 2008, an anonymous Virginia woman filed a $50 million civil lawsuit[15] in federal court against Epstein, alleging that when she was a 16-year-old minor in 2004-2005, she was "recruited to give Epstein a massage." After being brought to his Palm Beach mansion, she claims that he exposed himself and had sexual intercourse with her, and paid her $200 immediately afterward.[13] A similar $50 million suit was filed by a different woman in March 2008 who was represented by the same lawyer.[16] Several of these lawsuits were dismissed and all other lawsuits were settled out of court. [17] He has so far made 17 out-of-court settlements, and some cases are ongoing.[14]

Looks like some of these girls might make a bit of money out of it at least.  wander what the payouts are.

Is it just me, or do the media keep referring to Epstein as a "sex offender" rather than the more descriptive "convicted paedophile" which i suspect they would use if it was some pop star involved and not HRL the DoY.

Why, would someone buy a house for several million pounds more than the market rate and then, as our exclusive photographs show, leave it to rot?

I'm standing to at-ten-shun when I say Prince Andrew is absolute  f****** c*** . He has,and always will let the royal family down.

I realise my chances of an royal 'honour' are slim and that by making that controversial statement even slimmer. However, I still think he is a c*** .

However, I still believe in the royal family and I genuinely have great admiration for the  Queen and HRH Prince Philip. What a class lady she is.

Harry and William are the new royals. They know the score - do your job first (royal duties)...then have some fun - not the other way around.

Isn`t Andrews father supposed to be the leather clad/bondage/ gimp character at the high end sex parties that infested the high society gatherings back in the day?

Wasn`t a D-Notice stamped to avoid this coming out? oh dear the men in black are walking up my drive.
