Mandela at 11/4 he's about 112 isn't he? That's got to be a good bet
1/2, Zsa Zsa Gabor, wasn't she released from hospital a couple of months ago so she could home to die, even at short prices she's worth a punt. Paul Gascoigne, I know he is speculative but at 12/1, he's just too big to leave out Peter O'Sullivan is 93 years old in March, 4/1 looks generous to me. I WEOULD LIKE TO ADD ONE LAY TO MY BETS The Queen Elizabeth 11, this cosseted old bird will be around for years. When you live on the best food and drink, when the country employs people to make your food and do every other bodily function for you, its my belief that your hardly going to wear yourself out are you? In 2016 she will surpass Victoria's record of 64 years on the throne I'd bet1 my last dollar she makes that. At 6/1 for her to snuff it she'd have to be a lay in my book. |

I sincerely hope I'm wrong about nearly all of these.
![]() Herbert Lom 3/1 (I thought he was dead already) Zsa Zsa Gabor 1/2 (I don't like odds on, but this seems value) Ronnie Biggs 6/4 (like Alex Higgins, in it every year, he has to go at some point) Thatcher 7/2 (It'll be about 50 years too late) Kirk Douglas 10 x £70 trebles 5 x £50 4-folds 1 x £50 Acca ATC, 50% back and 50% on Singles and a Double: Eli Wallach 9/4 Anna Wing 11/8 It's all wrong this. I wonder how many people will say "I've got him!" when they read or hear about a famous death. Good stuff. |

Siome inside info.
Maggie Thatcher seen coughing and spluttering when out on Christmas day attempting church and a visit to dennis' grave. May not make new years day. Is that withdrawn under orders, or not under orders? all bets transfer tio favourite magrarhi? |
|
By:
Anyone croaking before 1/1/2011 WILL be regarded as having come under orders.
Obviously only for bets placed before breathing ceased. |

Michael Douglas it is then baracouda.

Surprised to see no price for cancer sufferer Danny Baker.....or is he too well liked to be included with the likes of Thatcher?

Just for clarification purposes, what happens if the person who supplies the winning entry to this competition kicks the bucket in the next year who gets the prize?
|
|
By:
OK acey, duly noted. And yours, Poppydog. 51 runners so far.
Couldn't put Danny Baker in there (although I didn't actually think of him anyway). The man has provided the antidote to the tired format of the football phone-in for years, and despite him being a Millwall fan I wish him nothing but good fortune. Should the winning entrant himself actually croak (how would we know?) then the Peter Finch rule applies. |

Danny Baker died about 15 years ago or at least his career did. Very much on the "Rinse and Repeat" cycle now, a bit sad really.

I will start a new thread tomorrow with everyone's bets, maximum potential payouts etc. and will attempt to keep the thread on the first few pages of Chit Chat through the year. So no David Ashforth either, seems a very selective list...easy to be "outrageous" about people you don't know or like.
|
|
By:
Yes, it is a selective list, as I had to price up each person.
Pricing up the six billion people on the planet was a bit too much, even for someone like me with time on their hands. |
|
By:
Yeah Danny Baker unknown David Asforth unknown amongest gamblers...
Seems like somebody trying too hard to be "outrageous" |
