A kind message, orioles, but my dogs are lazy so-and-so's. They've never done a day's work in their lives. Besides, dogs can't sweat...

HB Max and Paddy
How did that kennel job end up, where they'd accused Max of biting Paddy or vv, and asked you to stump up for the vet bill? |
|
By:
Thanks to nice people for greetings.
To DONEMYLOT.....glad you remember my thread! To TMF.....not sure what you mean unless it was a punctuation thing! Another glass, of Australian Grenache Shiraz, for me I think....hic! |

It is a common misconception that dogs do not sweat.
They do sweat, mainly through the footpads, but only a small fraction of a dog's excess heat is lost this way. Primarily, dogs regulate their body temperature through panting. Wikipaste |
|
By:
kenny - nothing happened in the end. I had to stump up and I didn't take it any further.
orioles - I didn't know that about dogs sweating, but I knew they panted to cool down. Mind you, I stand by my earlier comment: they're lazier than a French trade unionist... |
|
By:
Happy Birthday Aunty !
|
|
By:
I must admit, M&P, I hadn't ever considered dog sweat before (hence my Google effort!) and mine have never had damp foot pads in their pampered lives either.

|
By:
ok, thanks M and P.

Sorry kenny, just to explain....
Many years ago I had to visit a property, in Bradford area, and there were more cats than I ever saw. Impossible to count them as they were running amok! There had to be at least a dozen in the sitting room, and the same again in the dining room, and then outside the same again. I asked how many there were and they just didn't know. Had to be closer to forty than thirty. |
|
By:
That's ridiculous although I've no doubt the owner meant well.
Bradford, eh! Did you know the BD postcode is one of the most sought after areas in the country? |
|
By:
and I don't mean by Asians or asylum seekers.
|
|
By:
Didn't know that kenny. Is there a particular area of BD in favour?
