As it is a milestone event, I will be spending the day, watching serious money piling into my current accounts, from various pension payments and matured investments.
I may also spend some time, reading a book on punctuation, as I seem to get worse with age!
To TMF.....not sure what you mean unless it was a punctuation thing!
Another glass, of Australian Grenache Shiraz, for me I think....hic!

It is a common misconception that dogs do not sweat.
They do sweat, mainly through the footpads, but only a small fraction of a dog's excess heat is lost this way. Primarily, dogs regulate their body temperature through panting.

kenny - nothing happened in the end. I had to stump up and I didn't take it any further.
orioles - I didn't know that about dogs sweating, but I knew they panted to cool down. Mind you, I stand by my earlier comment: they're lazier than a French trade unionist...

I must admit, M&P, I hadn't ever considered dog sweat before (hence my Google effort!) and mine have never had damp foot pads in their pampered lives either.

Even the nice people at Google remembered with my own personal homepage..... Please insert suitable "Smiley" here, as not only is my "Create Topic" button dead, but my "Smiley" button too!

Very touching to receive so much heart felt attention
I'm currently going through everything beige in my wardrobe, as I want to be well coordinated tonight.

Many years ago I had to visit a property, in Bradford area, and there were more cats than I ever saw.
Impossible to count them as they were running amok! There had to be at least a dozen in the sitting room, and the same again in the dining room, and then outside the same again.
I asked how many there were and they just didn't know. Had to be closer to forty than thirty.

That's ridiculous although I've no doubt the owner meant well.
Bradford, eh! Did you know the BD postcode is one of the most sought after areas in the country?

Afraid to admit it but I spent most of it on fast cars, booze, gambling and loose women.
The rest I just squandered.....(please insert relevant smiley here).

I didn't respond yesterday, as there was still a slim chance I wouldn't make it!
Strange isn't it, that some on here know a great deal about ones life.
I was on here for three months before I even knew about the forum and after that played my cards close to my chest.
Bit by bit, snippets of information have allowed some to fill in the gaps with some degree of accuracy, and it's all a bit spooky really, but nice to be acknowledged by the good people on here.

I'm afraid Ron that it's just a ghost of Do wah Diddy.
Big family party tomorrow, and my Australian daughter arrived yesterday.
I baked my legendary American Cheese Cake earlier, with a sponge base (none of the smashed up digestives) and with sultanas soaked in Jack Daniels, and will be topped with Caramelised Bananas and Maple Syrup.

By all means, Foinavon.Strangely enough I had a custart tart in Morrison's cafe this week, my first for 40 years I would guess, seeing as they use free range eggs in all restaurant products and they were only 50p.
