Kevin was there. many I didn't know though. Paul Sinha did better much than last time I saw him (He won).
During the team event, I asked after Iwan Thomas, he was pointed out to me, but he'd just left when I went to say hello from fenway! I did averageish, there are some seriously good quizzers there. There is a lot of obscure stuff, which is what I guess many of these guys study up on, but in a 'chase/trivial pursuit' set-up many of us would hold our own against them, imo. By the end of the day I was well quizzed out. I'm awaiting the answers, when I get them, I'll ask some of the q's in the quiz room. Franzi, I was put in a team with a member of the Derbyshire quiz set. It seems to be the place to quiz in the UK as far as I can tell. There's nothing like it in Essex that I've been able to find. |

Hey guys. Really sorry. Called in my mate's pub for a swift half at lunchtime and ended up in a bit of a tangle. Think it was a combination of excessive alcohol and overpowering paint fumes that did for me. Only managed one set of the darts!
Anyway, I can do it tonight/Friday/Saturday/whenever-TT-is-about. Apologies once again. I don't think even TheDragon understands the shame I feel. |
