Thanks.
Was still widely available at 11/1 around midday. Came in to about 11/2, then the Wesley Ward horse was withdrawn which was about 4/1. Ryan Moore said that the favourite, Believalble would probably need the run, which also didn't help. |

GL with Diamond Geyser. (I napped it LTO.)

Nearly left a blank day but just in case I need them later in the month
Annoying when sp is returned 4/1 especially when it was double figures when you posted |

Looking like Dubai Hero for me tomorrow. He's got a lot going for him but still some work to do on the other runners and the maidens at this meeting take a bit of winning.
|
|
By:
I don't like doing write-ups for fear of making myself look stupid, but...
Dob 25 Feb. First foal. The dam won fto over 7f as a 2yo. In its 2yo season it won twice over 7.5f and also won a G3 over a mile. Following season beaten 7.5L in the Coronation Cup (OR 103). Also half-sister to four winners. The sire, Dark Angel, has gained an excellent reputation. Dubai Hero cost a substantial 100,000gns as a yearling against a stud fee of £10k. (Has now risen to £50k.) Furthermore, Dark Angel's 2yo's had a FTO win rate of over 17% in 2015. SBS's 2yo's also had a FTO win rate of over 17% last year and in many seasons has been well over 20%. He's 25% at Newmarket with 2yos over the last five years and with James Doyle on board, I've taken the 9.4 on here. |

Thanks Pump. Can't complain about the price today.
![]() That should be enough to keep me in the division. |

Roibeard turned over at Navan - 1/6.

Had a quick look at tomorrow's maiden and at first glance I like Dubara. Might do a write-up later.
|
|

Might back this one
![]() Said to myself I would not look at the two big hcps tomorrow Could not help myself, at York 4.15 Earth Drummer 20/1 I might be mad but I may well nap it ![]() |
|
By:
Based on the dam's side of the pedigree, I'm now thinking Dubara might need further. Although Dubawi's do ok over 7f, they aren't particularly precocious. Also, not an early foal (dob May 1).
Given the odds, pedigree* and a birth date of Feb 16, I will plump for Pichola Dance. Distorted Humor doesn't have many runners in Britain but in 2014 had 7 2yo runners; 5 won of which 2 won FTO. *Dam is an unraced sister to 4 winners including: Sequoya (dam of Henrythnavigator) won twice over 7f as a 2yo (both GF) including the G1 Moyglare Stud Stakes. Beaten only 1.75 L in G1 Nell Gwyn. Ran 4 times as a 3yo all G1 (OR 116). Listen won FTO over 6f; 2nd G1 Moyglare and won the Meon Valley Stud Filiies' Mile (all 2yo). OR 117 as a 3yo Roger Varian hasn't done too well with debutantes recently but was 13.5% in 2013 and 20.9% in 2012. GL tomorrow. |

Sadly a band of rain will I think effect the going at York, could be g's by racetime would that alter your selection?
Unfortunately it wont suit Earth Drummer ![]() |

Sadly a band of rain will I think effect the going at York, could be g's by racetime would that alter your selection?
Unfortunately it wont suit Earth Drummer Currently GF at Newmkt with only a bit of rain fc. York currently G with a lot of heavy rain fc between 10 and racetime. |

By:
HL with Earth Drummer.
Pichola Dance was disappointing. |
|
By:
Thanks Nick, could it have won without the rain ?
Who knows but it looked good ground to me regardless of the so called g/s ground |

Wd with your nap yesterday. For some reason, I had it in my mind that your selection was in the 6.00 race.

Nice nap on Monday.
GL with the longshot today. |

Money for Thomas Girtin.
GL today. |

Sorry Nick, missed your post
![]() Gonna need a winner or I'm toast, at least you can go for it this month |
|
By:
All but the bottom five are in profit.
The way things are going, I could still go down if I don't get a winner. |
|
By:
I napped Salouen yesterday but didn't back it. Changed my mind at the eleventh hour and backed the winner although the odds-on favourite was a very late withdrawal.
Today, I've napped, and backed, Suffragette City (also napped it LTO). Will be very disappointed if it doesn't run well. GL today. |
|
By:
Cheers Nick, good luck as well, I have mailed you btw.
|
|
By:
Good call by those who put up Promising in your comp. Richard Hannon gave it a very positive write-up in my Two Year Olds book but I don't like backing his FTO.
Sorry for the aftertiming, but I did the same as yesterday and backed the winner 5 mins before the off. Thought I'd better back two if I was going against the fav. GL in the 4.40 |

, much appreciated, sent mail from my phone but not 100% sure you got it. |

Bit of a price collapse on that but it didn't really matter in the end. EJH had nother winner the next day at Windsor in another 2yo maiden - 33/1
![]() Unfortunately, I could only muster a 13/8 winner this week. No, I didn't get your email. |

Pump - I'll email you later with the up to date analysis of the Guesses thread.
It occurred to me that the Early Price returns figures may be slightly inflated because they have not been adjusted for NRs. Not sure how I would get that info. |
|
By:
Cheers Nick pretty much impossible I would have thought, maybe deduct 5% from every runner to early prices I would think that would be close what it should actually be.
Your in desperate need of a winner in the comp, fingers x for you |
