VWD Nick, good luck for June

Thanks Pump. Might go for a long one tomorrow as it's the 1st.

Missed a winner Monday as I wanted to stay in profit
![]() Ridiculous really though it only returned 3/1 so made no difference, would have been relegated but for that 16/1 shot early in the month. Remember don't let the 1/5 merchants drag you down ![]() Good luck |

Have you seen FatLad 1981's threads? He's put up some decent winners. Knavesmire007 is another poster who deserves respect.
|

loo in now & again, several decent tippers, cannot back them all if you sort out a couple for a multi someone else's invariably win.

GL in the 6.30
I picked another loser today but pleased in that I didn't think the fancied horses were up to much. Unfortunately I chose the wrong 25/1 shot. Have you looked at the Oaks yet? I really don't like Minding. I think I might concentrate on the race for Friday's nap. |
|
By:
Just watched the race. Decent run. Looked like it might have been blocked about a furlong and a half out but difficult to be sure with the camera angle.
|
|
By:
Was actually a tip of sorts, was supposed to lead from the stalls but all that kerfuffle it missed the break, defo one to watch
|
|
By:
yep a pair of losers between us, without looking at other tips I suspect at least a dozen odds on selections
![]() Could be a long month. |
|
By:
Iirc it went about 2.2 i/r.
I wondered why you were looking at a 2yo novice race. Simon Crisford now 3/3 with 2yos this season. |

Now you tell me

Went right start, chased leaders, pushed along over 3f out, not much room over 2f out or just over 1f out, stayed on same pace inside final furlong

Now you tell me
LaughLaugh Shamsaya's dam won on her 2yo debut over 5f at Windsor on Good. ![]() |

WD on the two winners this week Pump.
![]() I got the Oaks and Derby completely wrong. ![]() |
|
By:
Thanks Nick, have you been away, with no selection this week ?
|
|
By:
When I lose and get it so wrong I like to take a break. Also been busy again.
|
|
By:
No worries, I know when you get it badly wrong a couple of times you do start to question ones judgement.
|
|
By:
Minding looked very impressive in winning the Oaks and Moonlight Magic finished last in the Derby so couldn't really have got it more wrong.
|
|
By:
FTO winner for Sylvester Kirk.
![]() This is what he said about Springbourne in last week's RPWE: "He'll need a run or two to get the hang of things but should give his owner plenty of fun after that. I hope he'll be ready to go in about a fortnight." |
|
By:
I think I might have napped the wrong one with exprerience in the 6.25 - quite like the look of Poet's Princess.
|
|
By:
I'll be gutted if I get relegated after that. Won well too.
I had to go out this morning. When I got a chance to have another look, I realised I'd picked the wrong one. Still, at least I had a few quid on PP. |

I'm only about a third of the way through; iirc you've got some winners in there later on. I'm compiling a P&L analysis (only selections by Ryan and yourself.) |

I will wait for June results with baited breath

Incredible strike rate from Ryan.
There's not much between you in terms of ROI at ISP. |
|
By:
Think it was mentioned later in June almost every horse he put up was shorter in running than the price he put up
![]() |
|
By:
He said earlier in the year that he almost never loses because he lays his stake back before the off. From memory, virtually all of his SPs are shorter than the advised price.
Interestingly, looking at the winners, your selections have shortened more than his. Do you want me to PM the spreadsheet to you? |
|
By:
Cheers Nick that would be great

Just to clarify, my definition of ROI (possibly incorrect) is returns compared to stakes as a percentage. Eg yours is 29.4% (25.25/86 x 100) In some ways, i guess it's a somewhat meaningless figure. Size of bank is more relevant imo. I sent you an up-to-date spreadsheet. Currently in the process of including BSP and i/r low prices. GL today. |
