Nope, I accused you of lying because you failed, and continue to fail, to provide a source for your claim that three cases had been confirmed as swine flu. Anyone wanting to check that can do so.

Do some searching nerd brain and I don't mean googling news desks.

two recentish comments got my attentention here:
1. sibaroni 28 Jun 23:45 Swine flu is as likely (or unlikely) to mutate than any flu. This statement is true. The problem is that it is misleading. Swine flu is an entirely new variant of the flu virus and so the vast majority of people do not have any resistance to it as they would from other strains. Luckily that doesn't matter because it is not particularly virulent. 2. (cath22's response) [i]Cath22 28 Jun 23:47 Sorry my little garlic sausage friend but the above that you have thrown at me is totally laughable, you try adding a piece in brackets yet you know the real answer because you typed it, now take away the brackets and see the light. purely to be pedantic, saying that mutation is as "likely" is just saying that the probability is the same. It does not mean that mutation is likley or unlikley. Secondly, why i. s this person pretending that they have any clue on the probabiity of flu mutation? Some truths: those that get this early form of swine flu are the lucky ones; in the event of a mutation they will be the only ones that have built up any antibodies to the new disease. mutation does not imply greater virulence or contageousness. Cath, you are a scaremongering fool. All this info can be found on the web but you can't even be arsed to look at even the most basic scientific information. |

Such a shame about that little girl that passed away with swine-flu :-( She did have health problems but still is a terrible situation.
To think that some butters are holding swine-flu parties. The objective being to catch the mild version of the virus now and develop some immunity for when the nasty derivatives of it turn up is absolutely a crazy thing to be doing. |

Dear evski and the other push pineapple shake the tree lovers...
Read this and weep.... BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany's federal agency for infectious diseases said on Tuesday there were signs the H1N1 swine flu virus had started to mutate and warned it could spread in the coming months in a more aggressive form. Experts were concerned about how the flu was developing in Australia and South America, said Joerg Hacker, head of the Robert Koch Institute for infectious diseases. "It's possible the virus has mutated. In autumn the mutated form could spread to the northern hemisphere and back to Germany," Hacker told a news conference in Berlin. The World Health Organization raised swine flu to pandemic status earlier this month. According to its latest figures, more than 230 people have been killed by the flu worldwide from 52,000 confirmed cases, mostly in the United States and Mexico. Symptoms of swine flu are typically fairly mild, but doctors have said the virus could evolve into something more aggressive. According to WHO figures, Germany has the third highest rate of swine flu infection in Europe with 275 confirmed cases. German Chancellor Angela Merkel told the conference that Germany was as prepared as it could be for any surge in cases. "We are in contact about it internationally," she said. "Now all we have to do is coordinate internationally who should be vaccinated and how we should do it, in case things get worse." The WHO has advised governments to prepare for a long-term battle against the new pandemic it officially calls A(H1N1). WHO Director-General Dr. Margaret Chan said recently the virus is currently "pretty stable," but warned it could still change into a more deadly form, perhaps mixing with the H5N1 bird flu virus circulating widely in poultry |

Yeah why is that Dobbo? What don't you understand by the words such a shame? You don't think it is? Funny you said the same **e the other day.
If you don't have a proper view on the subject I suggest you close the door on your way out. |
By:
What is your view Cath? You read the news. You regurgitate it. So what? Your contribution is?
By:
You want to prove to people that you have never met that swine flu may kill people.Well done.

By:
Let's have your view come on Mr Knowledge. I see spotuing off time and time again yet you have nothing to say on the matter because you know nohting.
Get your head out your ass and face reality. |

Dobbo 01 Jul 00:07 You want to prove to people that you have never met that swine flu may kill people.Well done. This thread has more worthy debate in it than most the rubbish posted in chit chat from the blokes. |

Like a silly Thomas The Tank that asks a betting fourm if theres any Electricians out there.
Pot Kettle Black all springs to mind Dobbo. |

Swine flu is an entirely new variant of the flu virus and so the vast majority of people do not have any resistance to it as they would from other strains. Luckily that doesn't matter because it is not particularly virulent. just to add my 50p into this discussion. The virus would only become very dangerous if a mutated form resistant to neuraminidase inhibitors (e.g tamiflu) occured. Whilst mutations occur readily in the flu virus, the gene coding for the neuraminidase enzyme seems to remain relatively unchanged between strains. It is therefore very unlikely that any resistant form will develop, so nothing to worry about. |

No. You are terribly deluded.

Bless you

By:
Dobbo please don't turn this thread into petty arguments. You are acting like a big girl.
Believe what you want to believe, shall I make you a little blanket to cuddle up to? |
By:
You leave little Blanket alone. His dad's just died.
By:
Question. For the third or fourth time. You carry your scythe on your shoulder but you have nothing to say other than what you read on the news. You have no expertise and you share that ignorance with everyone on this thread....so where is the "debate"?
By:
Read from start to finish this thread Dobbo then come back and try and throw that at me you complete moron.
By:
I've read it Cath. What sticks out at the moment is the fatuous sad face you added to your relish that a little girl had died. Offensive? You decide.
By:
Relish? I think your looking at things you want to look at.
Sick man Dobbo very sick man you are. Infact you disgust me to be honest. |
By:
You two must be married.
By:
So you gain/learn what in this perpetual song of doom? Do you know anything that anyone else doesn't? I think the answer is NO. You want people to die so you can be proved right. Me sick? I dont think so.
By:
Dobbo you do not desvere my time, therefore after your sick accusations above I am not bothering to reply to you.
You are a sick man, bitter twisted sick man, check out a porn site and get that hump off your back. |
By:
That's a bit harsh. Don't think Cath wants people to die.
By:
And you have a healthy interest in the spread of disease?
Why dont you encapsulate what you have being saying throughout this thread. Would it be: People are going to die you idiots and I will prove that I am right. Or are you saying something else? If so. Clear the air and say so. |
By:
Canny I am sure she doesn't want people to die but throughout this thread she has jumped in with relish each time the news is dark. For me a frowning graphic on the end of a report that a little girl has died is about as shallow as you can get,
By:
How is an upset symbol a frown you complete fool
Really made yourself look silly this time aound Dobbo, you disgusting man. |
By:
I knid of think she does canny, but if you can find one post in the many that she's made here that suggests scientific estimates are too high I'll happily backtrack. For me, she's taken reports and exaggerated them, time and time again.
