Proof that there is no highest prime number: Suppose that there is - call it N. Consider the number N!+1 [N! is just 1 x 2 x . . (N-1) x N ]. This number obviously has no factors between 1 and N (any such number would divide into N!+1 with a remainder of 1). Therefore N!+1 is either prime, or has a prime factor greater than N. In either case, we have a contradiction of the original hypothesis. Therefore there is no highest prime number. |

Please stop bringing this to the top. It's based on nothing but Robert Weinland's words. Weinland is a fake and has got numerous things wrong. Also if man had '6000 years of self rule' before the last 1000 years how do you explain the eevidence that man has existed for 50000+ years

These are just people cashing in on the end of the Ancient Mayan calender which stops in 2012. Many Mayans have said that to reach the end of the calender was a great celebration.

I have just read through the first few pages of this again and I have to say Tony is nothing but a self indulgent tw@t. Keep making references to the secret service and knowing too much. You know no more than anyone else who has studied these prophecies and predictions etc. I have read numerous books and websites on this and for a time I also felt like the end was coming and how was I going to survive, but then I thought there is as much evidence from Mayans that nothing will happen and i'm not going to wait for something that won't come. I have read sites which tell us to store food, water, clothing, weapons and other stuff but what is the point? If something happens I want to be right in the middle of it and die quickly than fight a losing battle to stay alive.
If anyone cares about my prediction, I think something will happen with the hadron collider in May and eventually (2012) Stephen Hawking and his group of scientists will prove string theory and the fact there are other dimensions. |

I have said i havent worked all this out purely from weinlands book, i have been thinking like this for a while, im sure ur christian friend would agree that jesus' return is imminent, i would also suggest that with the current state of affairs in the world the possibility of all i have described is actually quite likely anyway. Maybe weinland is the man for the dates described but there are other mathematical and generational dimensions to consider...40 yrs since jerusalem under jewish rule to name but one. I think the tribulation period described in the bible has got to start in our generation and it appears very likely that as Jesus and others have stated that the tribulation period is going to be worse than any other period in earth's history, then nuclear holocause would certainly be possible. I will stick with all ive said, but id really like the main focus to be about people turning back to GOD AND ASKING FORGIVENESS OF THEIR SINS. |

I must admit shortly after posting that I regretted posting such an attack on you, therefore I apologise, but I still think the majority of what I said was true. My friend does believe the return of Jesus is coming soon, in his words he believes it will happen at any time within the next 1000 years. He did say sooner rather than later which I admit I can't see another 1000 years without something major happening. Not sure God and Jesus will ever come back to be honest because i'm not sure they exist. I suppose my official stance is agnostic, leaning towards atheist. I think it was Canaryboy on here who said that the concept of God is nothing but evil. It's very hard to argue against that. Once again I apologise to you and I hope you are wrong obviously.

That was unnecessary and when people say something like that it shows they are incapable of a constructive argument, which I don't think is true on my part so i'm sorry for that. Not that you probably care what someone on a forum is saying. I'm happy to constructively discuss this though if you wanted as I too have read numerous theories and prophecies of what is coming. Makes for some scary reading but we can't change it I guess.

Tony, is christianity the place to be? What if I'm a buddist or islamist?
And should I be catholic or protestant? If the latter, what branch should I join? Presbyterian, Methodists, Church of England? I'm Norn Irish, I can't join the church of England, will the church of Ireland do? Its very important as christianity seems the right choice but there's so much to choose from. If I pick the wrong choice I won't go to heaven. BTW I always thought jesus was a jew until he founded his own religion. The jews must have been wrong as jesus most definitely claimed to be the son of god. When jesus comes back will he form another religion depending on his parents? Maybe christianity won't be so hot then. So much to worry about, so little time. |
