i fear my cousin going the same way DO WAH. met him in the bookies half hour before race and he put 400 euros on dog trap no. 3 just for interest. it won but i would never put such money on a dog.
By:
Ive been in this game over 30 years and seen a lot of lads go under through gambling, win a few quid and think they are invincible.

my biggest battle DO WAH is the booze. no problem with gambling. but i would class myself as a alcoholic
By:
we would be fairly wealthy, but he left school at 15 (and worked since)and i would think he won 70k in the last year. horses and soccer/football

too late 4 me i think. i intended moving to australia but fear i will end up living in a ditch. i work for my uncle who is very tolerant of me as my father (his brother) was a raging alco for many years. he has since nearly quit comnpletly. perhaps only 1 3 day bender a year and no other booze. hopefully i can quit too

my biggest battle DO WAH is the booze. no problem with gambling the bet you made only lost you an amount of money, it's retrievable. take stock & decide if you have more than one battle. whatever it is (and only you can be honest with yourself) decide where you go from here. I'm compulsive, it's one day at a time for me. good luck |
By:
did not go out till sunday, had perhaps 15 pints. could not stay off it yeaterday. went to work for half day then drank about 15 cans of cider. thank god tomorrow is a day off
By:
gambling, drink are both addictions which can destroy if not treated with respect,I've suffered from one.
By:

By:
do wah The Second Greatest Gambler in the History of the Universe IMO
(after me) |
By:
Gambling is my nemisis,my wife has been brilliant and now controls the finances.
I get pocket money and it has saved my marraige although I still do mad things :( |
By:
Your cousin is a mug who just hit some extreme luck.
He'll end up donating that back to bookies plus more. |
By:
lol pocket money for me too Hearts
By:
my dad also gets pocket money lol. i could do with getting a girlfriend to give me pocket money FFS
By:
mcchicken i think that about the cousin too. but he won 24k when he was 15 so he will never stop now. he is also fairly intelligent and his parents know all about the extent of his gambling. it is not his worst vice by any means
By:
we all get pocket money :^0
By:
THEY SHOULD TEACH YOU ABOUT THE PERILLS OF GAMBLING AND DRINGING AT SCHOOL INSTEAD OF GEOGRAPHY NOW THERES SAT NAVS,
By:
Sorry about the loss Smig, gl for the rest of the week and with your other battles, Sir.
By:
I could seduce your wife, hearts, and make her spend wildly.
Come to think of it, I could seduce you and anything you ever vaguely thought about. Not much of a challenge though. Hey. |
By:

Hearts, I really do think you need to be taken in hand (oh err) by a much more experienced pro ! ;) ^ everyone's gay on here :( |
By:
no idea how your cousin makes a profit with crap bets like that. and i dont mean cos it lost either. there are only two reasons to hammer an odds-on horse. 1) you absolutely 100% know its about 20 times better than anybody else thinks it is. and 2) you dont know how to pick winning bets so back the odds-on horses out of desperation.

The 2k on inter looking good
By:
£10k netted. This 18 yo cousin is gooooooooooood ;)
By:
a dark day indeen. my cousin ended up putting 8.5k on him, me 1.5k. i won 300 back on the last race, but cousin having 2k on inter at 5/1. a poor choice IMO. another leason learned
not really :( |

re: cousin.
It will all end in tears. Has no structure or discipline. Therefore eventually will lose. FACT |
