Lies, DamnLies, and Statistics, any idea what his record at SP is, as the prices move faster than John Prescott at a pie eating competition?

My betting system is so frail that if I told you what it was it would fall over and hurt itself. I suppose traders can happily explain what they do but most of the rest of us have such a small edge that we have to guard it.

Hugh Taylor

WHERES REILEY looks a Fibresand specialist in the making, and he can confirm that theory by winning the 6f handicap at Southwell today (2.30). This looks a warm event, as Not My Choice should go well again, whilst handicap debutant Quiet Mountain was one of my eyecatchers on the channel recently having seemed not to get home over 7f at Southwell last time.

However, Not My Choice hasnt completely impressed with his resolution off the bridle on his last two starts, whilst as promising as Quiet Mountain was last time, its hard to say hes overpriced here as the market seems to be taking into account that anticipated improvement. Wheres Reiley was ultimately an impressive winner over 5f last time; he missed the break quite badly (blindfolded in stalls), and four or five lengths behind at halfway, but powering through in the second half of the races to win in clear-cut fashion. He had also shaped well on his sole previous Fibresand run (also over 5f), and the return to 6f should not be a problem

Where's Riley at 6/1 that is. I always start off with the highest stakes, ie 3 points today

I had a good run when I first started four years ago and a bit of a spree last summer. Overall I am down about a grand but two thirds of that is on poker (which I now avoid). I do like the site though. If I had more discipline I would probably be a bit in front.

I do best on rugby .......... which I always enjoyed more anyway.

canny

I did Dig Deep as well .......... only just come back to this thread.

I try to back horses that I either think might win or front run and shorten in the betting ( except at courses which don't favour front runners such as Lingfield aw ......... even then there might be a few)

Dig Deep 12.50 2.00 Back 02-Feb-10 15:00 -2.00
Dig Deep 7.40 2.30 Lay 02-Feb-10 15:01 2.30

for me trading gives me more profitable days ......... and while I get less of those days where you make a big profit .......... there are far fewer days where I make a loss.
