To those taking offence to this thread. If you are genuinely offended, I would apologise. I'd suspect though you just enjoy adopting a holier than thou position - literally. The man I've respected the most in life was my best friends dad. He was a methodist minister for over 20 years, but his favourite film was Life Of Brian. He had his faith, apart from his family it was the most important thing in his life - but he never force fed it to others. He also hated the stuffy, humourless stereotypical image of some aspects of the church and church goers, and the division of acceptance between different religions. Sadly, his faith couldn't save him from dying of stomach cancer before his 44th birthday. |
