Download, install and run from here:

ajw...it's probably spywared up to fvck...ccleaner won't be enough on it's own...you need a systematic approach beginning with turning off system restore then dumping all your temp cr@p (this is where ccleaner comes in)...you need to run at least one spyware removal proggie (spybot / superantispyware are two decent ones)...then do a full virus scan with a decent av proggie (none of that free cr@p that people rave about, ie avast or avg...get kaspersky AV or IS ). you'll need a good couple a reboots during this process...finally when u thik ur done you can turn system restore back on (mine is off permanently in case you wondered). It's not a 2 minute job ajw...don't be fooled into thinking it is...all the best.

the commodore 64 works fine!....it is the bloody p.c that doesnt!
Report armchair jockey wilson!! • December 7, 2009 9:27 PM GMT
swearbox.....for some reason system restore does not work anyway!.....it says that it was unable to restore!.........i would take it back to factory settings but i dont know how to do it!
Report everythings gone green • December 7, 2009 9:29 PM GMT
Malwarebytes removes it all for nothing.

if ur gonna take it back to factory settings back up yer pron and all yer other stuff you don't want to lose...then prepare to install all yer extra programs again...a nasty business imo but sometimes it's the best option. There's probs a menu option at boot time that will allow you to restore to factory settings...u must be usin' vista i assume...a cretinous version of windows if ever there was one.

Superantispyware is excellent as well, no harm in running both, nothing I know of will get through these and be caught by spybot (good prog. though) and the awful adaware.

I presume you've already sent out a call for Tommy Toes

Report armchair jockey wilson!! • December 7, 2009 9:36 PM GMT

Report Petrus Romanus • December 7, 2009 9:38 PM GMT
sounds like it's b0llocksed to me...i'd be getting a total clean install done...wipe the drive and start from scratch...bound to be someone you know with a copy of xp floating about...get that on there if the comp isn't too old...
Report everythings gone green • December 7, 2009 9:40 PM GMT
Recovery is a last resort.

Download and run one or more of the anti spyware programs suggested.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

EGG - you reckon then it's worth deleting Adaware and running the two you have suggested?
Report armchair jockey wilson!! • December 7, 2009 9:45 PM GMT
e.g.g.........i have absolutely nothing on the computer that i would need to save!.....if i could just get it back to factory settings is be laughing!
Report everythings gone green • December 7, 2009 9:45 PM GMT
Adaware is not worth a rub imo.
Report armchair jockey wilson!! • December 7, 2009 9:51 PM GMT

that program will not run on my computer!......starts scan...then just seems to stop and disappears!
Report whodareswins • December 7, 2009 10:45 PM GMT
ajw at least 2 options if you have nothing you want to save. Ist and easiest reformat it. 2nd you can nuke it.

or if you suspect a virus put the virus to Kapersky for cleaning. You could also go to any of Barack's children they will do the job of cleaning.
Report armchair jockey wilson!! • December 7, 2009 10:51 PM GMT
whodares.......i do not have kapersky......and i wouldnt have the first idea of how to reformat!
Report whodareswins • December 7, 2009 10:56 PM GMT
ajw it's a bit late to explain tonight, but if your pc is old and you have never done it before the updates will take what seems like a lifetime if you reformat. But if it is working okay no problem.
Report armchair jockey wilson!! • December 7, 2009 10:57 PM GMT
seems to be working ok now.....just the issue with "a google search results" page having hijacked my home page!
