Asus x51r laptop....all power is there but wont boot up, fan running but just black screen..

Any suggestions thanks???

All lights come on when you press the power button and it sounds like it starts up but nothing...

Restart then press ?F5? and start in safe mode. If it starts up run system restore to an earlier date and see if that works. System restore is start/ all programs/ accessories/ system tools/ system restore

at the top there should be keys with little pictures on, try to find the one that has 2 squares on it(f5 as oval says)

ok, tried external monitor, no good..

nothing plugged into the laptop,

i have noticed the lights are on for hibernation zz lights
