take out battery..then put back in and plug into mains, then switch on

Restart then press ?F5? and start in safe mode. If it starts up run system restore to an earlier date and see if that works. System restore is start/ all programs/ accessories/ system tools/ system restore

no beeps, just powers up and you here the hard drives...

at the top there should be keys with little pictures on, try to find the one that has 2 squares on it(f5 as oval says)

have you got anything plugged in ,USB periphirals,dongles etc,take them ALL out and try to boot

Remove battery and power source,hold power on button down for 45secs,replace battery and power and switch on(this worked for some people with the same problem as you)
