Spent yesterday morning at Hendo’s. This is Lulamba who had just done some work with Nico. He will run Saturday at Ascot. Plans will be made after his debut run.

'Hibore', I hope he wins for you; I'm too late for him. However, I do have Constitution Hill (accas, cashout on a couple), and Sir Gino (5/1) for Champion and Arkle respectively. Now merely a case of both turning up for a chance to collect or bust.

Interesting - I thought CH looked a different horse at Kempton. Nowhere near the sparkle of old. Of course he might come on for the run, but in my view he has to.

Last 100 yards or so he looked a bit like how he did on the run to the line at Aintree, the old fuel gauge was beginning to flicker. It's assumed that a good strong gallop will be right up his street, but that's with the rose tinteds on harking back to his best ever performance in the Supreme back in the day, would be a question for me what he'd have left late on these days after chasing something similar to what BDA was involved in over Xmas.

I think 1st time back for over a year would make a horse feel lethargic nearing the business end. Let's hope with the cobwebs blown away Cheltenham in March will be a breeze.

Palladium is obviously the horse I was referring to as the other horse. Apparently is “better” than Lulamba but that is at home and we will see tomorrow. Price has absolutely collapsed to around 10/1 now which might be still value if Nicky is correct. Flat horses do have trouble settling and jumping can be hit and miss. Hoping for impressive win and having two bullets in Triumph.

'Hibore', Palladium has only one entry at Cheltenham (The Triumph), if good enough. I hope Lulamba runs in The Triumph for you, and his backers. The former is 10/1 (nrnb).

if you were too late to the party with lalumba or have backed him for the triumph for the triumph and palladium is as good as hendo thinks then lalumba 25/1 Sly's (don't know how much they will stand )supreme ante post could offer a bit of insurance ,its risky and dependent of many outcomes but that's the nature of the game .

I'd not realised Lulamba and Salvator Mundi shared the same owner. But, I was impressed with East India Dock. I think he'll give Lulamba a proper race come March. I believe the former will have the edge over Palladium even if Palladium improves a lot.

When i tried to do some "googling" earlier, it said Binocular was never intended for the Triumph that year. Maybe because of JPs other horse. I would be shocked if Henderson did not run Lulamba in the juvenile race.

The last 4 year old to win the Supreme was Hors La Loi in 1999, beating the ill fated Joe Mac and the well backed Cardinal Hill who came down 2 out. Binocular as a 4 year old in 2008 finished 2nd to Captain Cee Bee, of the same ownership of the winner.
I will now look for other 4 year olds who have since tried!

Surely East India Dock should be fav, especially after the run on Saturday. Lulamba's price seems to be based on reputation rather than form. It would not surprise me if Lulamba ducked East India Dock altogether and runs in the Supreme.

No reason Henderson will not run his star horses at the festival. Can't remember him ducking the meeting in previous seasons.
But agree with East India Dock. His form on the track should have him as favourite for the Triumph. People who have backed Lulamba and Palladium on rumours have a decent opponent.

My main bet of the festival is East India Dock, can’t really see much else this year 5/2 is ok I have him 15/8 fav on the day assuming no key withdrawals.

Lulamba and Palladium are both 100% ok, according to Hendo. Hendo: "I do not need to do anything with them in terms of racing and they will go straight to Cheltenham. They do not need a run at this time, and in all probability they'll have a racecourse gallop under our own terms".
Really? Both horses are so inexperienced over hurdles. I just hope they truly are 100% in every sense.

He's been replaced as the fav by East India Dock. I think the swerving of the Adonis, and the defeat of Mondo Man at Kempton today were probable reasons why.
