Serious money for this horse today from 10/1 into 4/1 fav because it’s entered in a race Confused
Looked pretty good in France but maybe overreaction.

Must have been doing something special on the seven barrows gallops.

Spent yesterday morning at Hendo’s. This is Lulamba who had just done some work with Nico.
He will run Saturday at Ascot. Plans will be made after his debut run.
Report impossible123 January 13, 2025 6:10 PM GMT
Are you on 'Hibore'? I hope he wins for connections after the unfortunate event with Sir Gino (5/4) last Cheltenham Festival.
Report Hibore January 14, 2025 10:20 AM GMT
Hi Imp, yes I’ve had a bet at 10/1. Missed the 33/1 unfortunately. He’s very good but not the only one highly rated at the yard.
Report impossible123 January 14, 2025 1:19 PM GMT
'Hibore', I hope he wins for you; I'm too late for him. However, I do have Constitution Hill (accas, cashout on a couple), and Sir Gino (5/1) for Champion and Arkle respectively. Now merely a case of both turning up for a chance to collect or bust.
Report Hibore January 14, 2025 2:42 PM GMT
I want the “other one” to win Laugh

Cons Hill was there as well. He looked incredible and is definitely back.

Interesting - I thought CH looked a different horse at Kempton. Nowhere near the sparkle of old. Of course he might come on for the run, but in my view he has to.
Report duffy January 14, 2025 11:06 PM GMT
Last 100 yards or so he looked a bit like how he did on the run to the line at Aintree, the old fuel gauge was beginning to flicker. It's assumed that a good strong gallop will be right up his street, but that's with the rose tinteds on harking back to his best ever performance in the Supreme back in the day, would be a question for me what he'd have left late on these days after chasing something similar to what BDA was involved in over Xmas.
Report impossible123 January 15, 2025 10:17 PM GMT
I think 1st time back for over a year would make a horse feel lethargic nearing the business end. Let's hope with the cobwebs blown away Cheltenham in March will be a breeze.
Report Hibore January 18, 2025 5:09 PM GMT
Phase 1 passed. Nice to get 10/1 bet into 6/4.
Looked very professional and massive chance come March.

Just look out for another one in next week or so Cool

Great price Lulamba it’s looking good though the novice hurdle races can be very competitive he has a major chance.
Report impossible123 January 18, 2025 6:55 PM GMT
Well done backers with stonking vouchers! I hope he wins for everyone involved come March at Cheltenham.
Report impossible123 January 18, 2025 7:10 PM GMT
Just noticed he's just beaten Mondo Man a horse that ran in the Grand Prix de Paris against Sosie convincingly. He gave the 2nd 10lbs too.
Report paulo47 January 19, 2025 9:09 AM GMT
Impossible ....Mondo man has just run to the same level (getting 6lbs) as a 73 rated flat horse . FWIW.
Report impossible123 January 19, 2025 4:05 PM GMT
Thanks 'paulo47'. His value is all gone. I hope he wins for backers. I'm going to abstain.
Report impossible123 January 21, 2025 4:41 PM GMT
He's also in The Supreme, why? In case Palladium (entered) is good enough to win The Triumph?
Report Hibore January 22, 2025 8:52 AM GMT
Palladium is obviously the horse I was referring to as the other horse. Apparently is “better” than Lulamba but that is at home and we will see tomorrow. Price has absolutely collapsed to around 10/1 now which might be still value if Nicky is correct.
Flat horses do have trouble settling and jumping can be hit and miss. Hoping for impressive win and having two bullets in Triumph.
Report impossible123 January 22, 2025 9:09 AM GMT
'Hibore', Palladium has only one entry at Cheltenham (The Triumph), if good enough. I hope Lulamba runs in The Triumph for you, and his backers. The former is 10/1 (nrnb).
Report FOYLESWAR January 22, 2025 9:44 AM GMT
if you were too late to the party with lalumba  or have backed him for the triumph for the triumph and  palladium is as good as hendo thinks then lalumba 25/1 Sly's  (don't know how much they will stand )supreme ante post could offer a bit of insurance ,its risky  and dependent of many outcomes but that's the nature of the game .
Report FOYLESWAR January 22, 2025 9:45 AM GMT
only 10/1 with most other firms ante post supreme^^^^
Report impossible123 January 22, 2025 9:52 AM GMT
Lulamba is 4/1 with a run in The Supreme, 25 here without. Latecomers could profit unexpectedly too.

Of course. I don't recall them having another juvenile that year to run in the Triumph. Maybe Punjabi or was he earlier?

Hendo didnt have 1 but would have been orchestrated by JP team who also then owned Triumph fav Franchoek.
Report impossible123 January 25, 2025 4:32 PM GMT
I'd not realised Lulamba and Salvator Mundi shared the same owner. But, I was impressed with East India Dock. I think he'll give Lulamba a proper race come March. I believe the former will have the edge over Palladium even if Palladium improves a lot.
Report brandyontherocks January 25, 2025 8:36 PM GMT
When i tried to do some "googling" earlier, it said Binocular was never intended for the Triumph that year.
Maybe because of JPs other horse.
I would be shocked if Henderson did not run Lulamba in the juvenile race.

The last 4 year old to win the Supreme was Hors La Loi in 1999, beating the ill fated Joe Mac and the well backed Cardinal Hill who came down 2 out.
Binocular as a 4 year old in 2008 finished 2nd to Captain Cee Bee, of the same ownership of the winner.

I will now look for other 4 year olds who have since tried!
Report saxon farm January 25, 2025 9:38 PM GMT
Since 2008 only FOUR 4 year olds have run in the Supreme Novices.
2009 Torpichen
2011 Marsh Warbler
2018 Knudsen
2019 Fakir D’oudariies
Report Andymca January 27, 2025 9:45 AM GMT
Surely East India Dock should be fav, especially after the run on Saturday. Lulamba's price seems to be based on reputation rather than form. It would not surprise me if Lulamba ducked East India Dock altogether and runs in the Supreme.
Report strontium January 27, 2025 10:57 AM GMT
The Donnelley's already have the favourite for the Supreme (at least until the DRF). Surely they'll split them up.
Report Andymca January 27, 2025 11:08 AM GMT
True enough, but Henderson does not like to run his "star" horses, unless he is sure they will win.
Report brandyontherocks January 27, 2025 3:55 PM GMT
No reason Henderson will not run his star horses at the festival.
Can't remember him ducking the meeting in previous seasons.

But agree with East India Dock.
His form on the track should have him as favourite for the Triumph.
People who have backed Lulamba and Palladium on rumours have a decent opponent.

My main bet of the festival is East India Dock, can’t really see much else this year 5/2 is ok I have him 15/8 fav on the day assuming no key withdrawals.
Report impossible123 February 20, 2025 9:15 PM GMT
Lulamba and Palladium are both 100% ok, according to Hendo. Hendo: "I do not need to do anything with them in terms of racing and they will go straight to Cheltenham. They do not need a run at this time, and in all probability they'll have a racecourse gallop under our own terms".

Really? Both horses are so inexperienced over hurdles. I just hope they truly are 100% in every sense.
Report impossible123 February 22, 2025 6:24 PM GMT
He's been replaced as the fav by East India Dock. I think the swerving of the Adonis, and the defeat of Mondo Man at Kempton today were probable reasons why.
Report impossible123 March 28, 2025 6:45 PM GMT
Could be a money-back opportunity in the Juvenile Hurdle on thursday. He's  best price 6/4.
