Just starting to keep my eye on the handicaps now for the festival and the sneaky ones which have been running with the handbrake on or who are being plotted up running on unsuitably soft ground. I'm sure their are plenty in the green and gold purely because of the numbers he has let alone because anything untoward has been going on but their are plenty of others who are now well handicapped with a Cheltenham race in mind.............. I will start with a few I've got on my radar

Close brothers novices
Don't touch it..... If they can keep his handicap under 140
Hell's Kitchen...... Ran a nice race on chasing debut considering how much he pulled, not been seen since hopefully with this race in mind

Coral cup / county
Heartbreak city........ If he runs in one of these surely he is a handicap snip

County
After Rain......... Watched all of his runs this year, first two races drifted and not really put in the race he then ran much better next time and on his run last year behind blue hell makes him really well handicapped!

Pertemps
Golden doyen......... Really seemed to improve for step up to 3 miles not been seen since hopefully to protect mark for this race

Grand annual
The game changer......... Had plenty of unsuccessful runs this year in Ireland racing off 150 hopefully he will get dropped a few pounds after being pulled up last time behind douvan and will return to form in this race on better ground

County Hurdle - BOITE

Expect him to be put away for the Festival and better ground. Won very convincingly at Wetherby penultimate, and ges exceptionally well fresh.

3m H'Cap Chase (whatever it's called this year) - A GOOD SKIN

Ran exceptionally well for a long way on ground that had gone against him at Cheltenham on New Years Day. The marginally shorter trip, better ground and possibly more headgear (wore cheekpieces for the first time, but blinkers may help)coupled with a drop of a couple of a pounds for this far-from-shabby effort, makes him an interesting player.

A Good Skin was second in the Kim Muir last year off a 4lb higher mark. There will be no Cause Of Causes blotting the handicap this year so couldn't they be going for the same race again?

Every possibility I'd say - back him whichever race

County hurdle or coral cup though maelduin that's the question which needs answering because if he dots up at the weekend I doubt he will be much of a price at all......... personally staying that well on the flat I think the coral cup will be right up his street

County Hurdle would be my choice barnesey. Guaranteed fast pace over 2m would be right up his street.

Let's hope they don't mess around Sunday week as he'll need to win/place to get a runnable mark for Cheltenham. Although i dread to think what mark Phil Smith will give him if he wins it. Scared
