I was more than happy with a £25@2/1 bet a week before the race last year, suppose some don't treat racing as a mere hobby and get restricted and closed down lol
![]() |
By:
As I am most years and avail myself to many offers on a weekly basis. Maybe opening myself up to comments such as be why I'm never restricted etc offers are losing etc, that actually can't be further from the truth. I have had accounts shut I've since learned tho how to treat them so they stay open
![]() Oh and on pushes/enhanced prices you are miles in front! |
By:
STS youre quite up front with how you bet STS so I doubt anyone on here has any problem with how you operate.

Min will run and win like make a stand in 1997 !

Take the 2/1+ while its there - this will go through the floor on the day ! |
By:
Douvan, Dunguib, Cue Card, Cousin Vinny, Amaretto Rose, all very well punted favs for the Supreme
For all you Min backers, doesn't Joists list fill you with any concerns at all? All were punted like defeat was impossible - a winner and two thirds a poor return for the hype followers. Disclaimer, I backed two of them, neither was Douvan ![]() |
By:
first race the first day.the bookies will be coming up with all sorts of specials..id say 9/4 will be freely available the morning and maybe better in a place..theres no way it will go thru the floor with nickys two 2nd and 3rd favs..and a few irish dark horses who may be better on good ground..
By:
I don't buy the first race last race middle race business, if you thinki a horse is too big it's too big, I'd concentrating on 11/10 yanworth for the ridiculously skinny argument myself
By:
Use the trends to fit your point of view, why don't you? Vautour & Douvan were the last 2 hotpots for whom defeat was out of the question... and so it proved. So the recent trend is for the hyped horses to piiss in!
By:
He will be at least 2/1 on the day and thats with a run, there is not chance he will be evens, and 2/1 is an awful price at the moment without a run
By:
If you watch Faugheens 2 races pre its first outing at the Festival and then watch Min's, who to you is/was the most impressive - 2/1 now or on the day is a gift from above !
By:
Ruby Walsh rode Min this morning.
Mullins: "I don't think he's as good as Douvan & it's hard to think he's as good as Vautour." Taken from twitter report. |

Only 14days 19hours 46minutes until we hear....Min has got to the front in the supreme absolutley cruising under Ruby Walsh!! It's Min in front coming up to the last and hes got it all wrong!!! lands on all fours and the pack begin to close, Altior has taken the lead! And the forgotten Moon Racer is absolutley flying home between tired horses! It's Altior in front, Moon racer closing! Min can find no more in 3rd place under Ruby! But Moon Racerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr he's nailed Altior on the line, Mooooon Racer!!!!!! wins the supreme, Altior in 2nd & Min back in 3rd.
By:
Min has got to the Front ?
Therell be nothing in front of him nor anything near him along way out ! |
By:
Give him a break trigger its only fools talking about horses
![]() |
By:
Min is priced on what his stable companions have achieved not on what he's achieved. He pulls too hard to even consider backing him at that price.
Just wondering - High Chapparal probably hasn't had many jumps progeny and no Cheltenham winners that I'm aware of? Hadrian's Approach and Carrachi Apache the only two horses that stand out. Is this a worry for Altior backers? Buveur D'air has looked very impressive in his two races to date and would be my pick. |
By:
Hawk High won the Fred Winter a couple of years back, he's a High Chapparal
By:
I think Yorkhill will cruise up to min if he goes. Will be interesting to see what he finds of the bridle on better ground.
By:
What's wrong with mins form then? Ball darc won a grade 2 and gurteen has looked very impressive. I think the good ground, bigger field and faster pace will help min settle. I think it certainly should be the price he is on betfair. As for moon racer winning the supreme I think Charbel has a better chance so that's how much I fancy moon racer.
By:
Nothing wrong with mins form at all, goes there with a leading chance but it's not a 1 horse race and I can see why people who haven't backed min already are trying to make a case for others.
Anyone whos got a decent amount on min at 25s or 50s and haven't backed atleast one cover by now, must have a big set of balls. I hope he wins as will be some atmosphere, just don't think it's a fore gone conclusion. I thought yorkhill price would have been long gone by now. |
By:
It will be some atmosphere when min comes round the bend absolutely swinging pulling rubys arms out! Then he lets him go and I can't see altior being able to go with him. I honestly can't wait! WIllie Mullins is well known for having his horses 100% for Cheltenham. These are the races that matter. We will see min fully tuned up and I think he could have yorkhill running on at the end to grab second.

One things for sure, i can see a lot of very big ego's getting burned this coming festival and a lot of expectation as like what i am reading on this thread hitting the deck with a very big thump, if it had sound would be at least a 100 decibels louder than the inaugural roar. Which 'banker' it will happen in remains to be written into the history books but it will happen.
And i, like quite a few on here, who aren't bigging up the opposition just because they haven't backed any of the 'bankers' will be there to clean up the mess and fill out pockets with lovely blue and red readies ![]() That is what i can't wait for ![]() |
By:
My only bets in this are Tombstone @ 20's and Tombstone w/out Min @ 10's, and a small bet on Winter Escape on big odds on the hope they change their mind and let him take his chance.
I really want to take the 14's on Yorkhill, but with antepost rules for PP, I don't trust the Mullins yard at all, but I do think he'd definitely be the biggest danger. If I do go in on Yorkhill, I'll probably get rid of a big chunk of my Tombstone bet. |
By:
Well at a preview night Ollie Murphy said he's heard Min was the best since the fly but Mullins has come out and said he's not as good as Douvan so go figure. Someone has been telling porkies lol.
By:
Why would use want Min to settle, hes got speed, travels, jumps and stays/completes his races on Heavy ground looking as though hes not had a race, let it go from the front they wont get near him on any given ground imo.
By:
@STS, you know that if you backed all the odd's on shots the last 10 years you would have a level stakes profit even at bookie SP. Something to bear in mind when ridiculing all the banker talk
By:
Min (Supreme) or Annie Power (Champion) - almost identical prices - which represents better value and chance of winning? I'd go Min myself solely on prep and optimum distance.
By:
Attribution, Ball d'arc and Gurteen all entered in a listed race at Nass on Sunday.
By:
mins performance the last day was outstanding, he just sprinted away from them when he looked like he should be getting tired (running free) and we've since been shown that they where 2 pretty damn gd animals
By:
@rboyd
I watched the video of that race several times and he is just effortless in asserting between the 2nd last and last, there was a lovely smooth jump to finish, if anything that form just looks stronger and stronger, they get close up for a bit and then he just pulls away from them, could have been 20L let alone 11L |
By:
Mins a gift at 9/4 if it turns up sound and doesnt get buzzed up before hand or on the off by the roar
By:
Mr Gloves - You don't half fill me with confidence when I need it regarding Mr.Min! Everytime I doubt his credentials, your posts blow any concerns away!
By:
Your not wrong Fallen Angel, just wait and see jb23 on the 15th, not long now.
By:
By:
jb,the only worry you have is whether their is a horse or horses better than Min on the day.
Unfortunately you wont find that out till the race. |
By:
What price will we get on the day? I admit to being very impressed at the style of his victories thus far, but I'm inclined to think he's probably underpriced due to connections, what with his tendency to pull and the fact that there are other unexposed horses in the line-up too. I must admit I didn't think Ricci's last three Supreme winners were good value either.
