I dont believe for a minute that Vautour was compromised to accomodate Faugheen. If they both ran in the CH imo there would be only one winner and I believe Ruby realised that if not after the Neptune certainly he did after Punchestown.

Absolutely Arkle. He is bread to chase and that what he is doing. I made be old fashioned but fences is the game. The Arkle is the prestige race but if they feel he needs further then so be it. Personally I'd love to see him against UDS but I'm sure Walsh will have his say.

so according to mullins there is a 'good possibility' that vautour runs in the 2m3f novice chase on the sunday,

It's looking more likely Vautour goes for the JLT now, especially if he runs on Sunday in the 2m3f race won by Djakadam last year.

That's dissapointing.  I still see him as an arkle type. UDS must be something special if they are so confident he will beat gilgamboa that vautour goes for a jlt trial.

Ptit Zig, Valseur Lido, Gilgamboa, Apache Stronghold all likely to face each other in the JLT, and now add Vautour to that?

The Arkle looks a much easier race to win!

They were always leaning towards trying to win both races.

Its such a shame cos I was really looking forward to both in the Arkle, but that's the way they operate.
