Can't Catch Me

I spoke to Graeme Wylie about him a few weeks ago. He actually showed me the X-Rays of the fractured eye socket and it really was a horrific injury. The horse was very close to being blinded.

The horse is in good shape and very well, no physical issues...they are just a little worried about the psychological effects of being back in the hustle and bustle of a race after such an incident.

Cheers CCM. Here's hoping he comes back A1 and as he would add a lot of depth and quality to the WH.

A few small runner fields in Ireland could be a good start for him to ease him back in.

I suppose you never can tell the psychological effects of a fall until they are back on the track.

Briar Hill backers will be slightly worried reading Willie Mullins comments prior to the Leopardstown Christmas Hurdle - sounds like he's the clear third string behind Zaidpour and Glens Melody and they don't know where they are with him:

We have three runners in the Grade 1 Christmas Hurdle over 3 miles. Zaidpour (Ruby) is our number onechoice and has the advantage of having won this race last year. He will love the ground and we are expecting a very good run. Glens Melody (Paul) ishaving her first outing of the season and we expect she will come on for the run. Briar Hill (David Casey) is also having his first run back after having cheekbone surgery following his fall at the Cheltenham festival. It ishard to judge how forward he is on his work at home so we will just have tosee how he gets on
