Only being facetious mate... think we will be do very well to get in the top 3 tbh! Mallowney and Bright New Dawn both look very tough opponents.

Stats against Champagne Fever in the Arkle...
25 of last 27 finished 1st or 2nd LTO 35 of last 37 ran 8 weeks prior to Arkle Front runners don't tend to win this. He does look like the main one to come good against this lot but is a poor price at the moment. |

One last post on the Arkle and like the Champion Hurdle I don't see any need to say anymore.
Champagne Fever could have had a better prep, but I think he's the class chaser in this group and he'll still be the likely winner. Simonsig had 2 runs over fences 1 over 2m4f, 1 over 2m both shocking quality races then went to the festival and won the Arkle. Well Chief had only 1 run over fences and won it. So analysing prep and all this nonsense to try work an angle isn't worth it for this. Champagne Fever is still most likely winner for me, Dodging Bullets and Rock on Ruby the biggest dangers followed by Trifolium and maybe Hinterland. Time and energy can be spent looking at other races now, handicap entries out soon. Good luck all. Hope it's a great race and they all get home safe. |

So basically the winner will come from the first 5 in the betting cvb??? Bet segal worried about his job wiv u about, priceless
By:
Usually does denman. I was going to say these might be the only 5 runners but there will probably be a couple of rags running for 6th place prize money!
By:
the arkle is usually won by something near the top of the betting so no point trying to find big priced outsiders with little chance of winning ,cv is just stating facts denman !
By:
Segal tipped Trifolium (third favourite at the time).
By:
the winner will come put of champagne fever and rock on ruby...i have had the winner of the arkle for the last 10 year apart from contraband !
By:
Ive whacked cf so hopefully, just like the way he shot the other 4 or 5 in just in case, i would of like to see Felix y run in arkle also but looks like ain't happening
By:
would have liked to see cf win before the festival but there you go !

As I think everyone else who read my post could clearly see I've sided with Champagne Fever and merely nominated the dangers. How did you get off my block btw? The only poster I ever blocked on here was you Back on it you go. |

Yeah, with none of the major fancies due to run between now and the race, if you haven't made your mind up now, you probably never will.
The ground on the day will have a big impact. If it is particularly soft, you'd have to fancy Trifolium quite strongly, but I'd say the vast majority at the head of the market will want it on the good side; particularly Felix, Rock on Ruby and Grandouet. Whilst Dodging Bullets didn't enjoy the bog the other day, I think he, and Champagne Fever are pretty flexible in terms of the ground, as long as there isn't an extreme. Overall, Rock on Ruby for me, but had a small bet on Champagne Fever when Felix got beat. Still hoping Felix runs in it, but I wouldn't say there was too much value lying around now, so I've done my betting in this. As CV says, for me, its time to move on and look at another race (need to get my head around the Supreme and Triumph at the moment). |

but boy did he win them like an animal going places, 49 l win and 35 l win against hinterland |

CV, what did u do with your original bets on CF in the end?
By:
Sticking with the form horses.....Trifolium for me withFY as the main threat if he runs, but the likes of CF,DB,ROR all have their chances. good race.
By:
if cf gets to post all the better for not having another run then he will be a bet at the odds hopefully they will hold up and by a bet I mean a serious bet cause he is the only 1 that can blow this field apart

By:
agree entirely had a £30 double on a 5-2 dog going on ror at 14s aswell, but been backing cf in loads of doubles, trebles, and a 5 timer on the football,it will win by a length or 2 !
By:
I was going to lump on CF when I got my FY stake back from BVIC but it looks increasingly like it will be going on ROR atm

In case you are not aware...The Betvictor promo cash does not have to go on the same race.it can be used on any horse racing market within 24 hours of being in your account.

Whether you think Champagne Fever is a good thing or not, it would take something extraordinary for him not to place imo. 4/1 ew currently on offer is a good ew bet to nothing, and I'd be very surprised if he didn't finish in the top 3, so money back if placed, and a 4/1 winner if he dots up.
From previous lessons, its best not to do all your cash on the Supreme and Arkle as all the joy of the festival can go away pretty quickly! |
By:
Glad he's not running in desperate ground as it pretty much ensures his participation in the arkle whereby an iffy run in bad ground may have thrown it all up in the air again, it also ensures that his price will hold up now with no further evidence to be gleaned from now on in.

corruptus at least the fever is running in the arkle,u aint !
By:
not done yet cuf
By:
it doesnt matter if fy is in the race cos it wont beat the fever, what mccoy said is right, the horse hasnt left its box and is still a strong favourite which says it all !
By:
course it matters,ive backed him.
By:
sorry buddeliea !
By:
ok mate |
By:
anyone got any news on rock on ruby, drifting like a bargepole !
By:
sorry wouldnt touch it wid a bargepole lol !
By:
fever wont be winning, running on for a place though
By:
behind what !
By:
just don't think his preparation has been the greatest, do you think he,s had an ideal prep? not worried at all?
By:
no it hasnt, but stats wise apart from trifolium which i think is way below the standard cf will show at chelt, have any of the other fancied horses !
By:
how deep are you into the fever Carlisle?
By:
CF is hideous stats wise. FY would be tops followed by Trifolium and dodging bullets
By:
i only need it for about a grand, got more going on to ror ironically due to a daft double after i seen it win at plumpton !
By:
quite deep then....
