WELL DONE
WHO WAS FAVOURITE FOR THE 1993 CHAMPION HURDLE AT 9-4 BUT DIED IN JANUARY 1993? |
By:
Was it Mighty Mogul? Was trained by Jenny Pitman then went to the Duke.
By:
^^^^ top bombing FF
By:
Him I remember well. The owners used to change trainers as often as most of us change underwear. They had some really nice horses but never the best of luck. His first race over hurdles was a very wet day at Towcester where he finished second to Rocco (also trained by Jenny at the time) with Carobee in third. Must have been the best novice hurdle ever run on the track and he was one of only 2 horses ever to finish in front of Carobee on the racecourse.
