Lady Rebecca is right. A tough gutsy mare who just struggled with the WH distance. Plenty of other cracking horses who had the same problem in the 2000s. Limestone Lad and Solerina for 2 more

I knew it had to be a championship race and the Stayers Hurdle was my best bet. Wouldn't have got it without the date clue though.

Poorly worded question which means technically Garde Champetre is right. I'd forgotten about the x-country so had written the question with stormyfairweather in mind who won the Cathcart in 99 and 00. Anyway, sack the question master and bring back Howdi.
