I remember what Alan King said when faced with same choice with My Way De Solzen. He said he'd never sleep if he won the Jewson as he could have prob been placed in the Arkle

We have still have three options there, the Ryanair Chase would seem the obvious race, but that could turn out to be the hottest race of the week, and I have had a bee in my bonnet about the SunAlliance Chase for a long time. Then there is the Arkle, and I suppose he could go for that if it was soft, we will have to see. - Alan King

He has two options at the Festival. He´ll be put in the Arkle Trophy and he´ll be put in the Ryanair Chase but he won´t have an entry in the Royal & SunAlliance or the World Hurdle. He doesn´t need three miles, and there´s plenty of time to go up in trip next season. If the ground is like this in the March I wouldn´t rule out the Arkle. He´s a joy to watch and probably also a joy to ride. He fills you with confidence and can do it both ways - from behind or from the front. He might have one more run before the festival, but I wouldn´t worry if he went straight there. - Alan King; There was plenty there at the finish today. He was beaten by a good horse at Sandown, but the race might have come a bit quick for him after Lingfield. It was probably a tiny little off day. We always thought that this was his kind of trip but he´ll hopefully be a Gold Cup horse next season. - Robert Thornton

I´m certainly not ruling out the Arkle. He´s run a good race and learned again about running at speed over fences. We were conceding 9lb to a good horse and I´m perfectly happy with that run. There are no excuses, and he´ll have another run over two miles in the new year. - Alan King, trainer

That was perfect, wasn´t it. It´s a huge relief, because while I couldn´t have been more pleased with him at home, this was a big day and I was feeling the pressure. Anything less than that would have been a disappointment. He went long, he went short, and everything 'Choc´ wanted he did. I never saw him put a foot wrong. I´d like to stick to two miles until he has to go further, but I don´t know where he´ll go next. If he runs over fences at Cheltenham it will be in the Arkle, but if the ground wasn´t suitable he´d go for the World Hurdle again. You're on drugs.  The Jewson was never thought of for a nanosecond as a potential target for My Way.

I think it makes alot of sense for connections and an obvious choice.The race is a bit longer,a bit slower and a bit easier than a arkle and at the end of the day a winner is a winner it doesnt matter what race it is,we are talikng about cheltnham hear.

i dont really get all the people who are against this horse in the Jewson,must be all the punters who have done their dough on him and are hoping he gets beat rather than thinking he will,if this horse is anywhere near the peddlers cross that finished 2nd in a Champion Hurdle then he will absolutely píss up,anyone who thinks otherwise is on Drugs or their judgement is clouded by having done their dough on him in the Arkle,

What are the negatives exactly?He's a point winner and a Neptune winner,so he clearly stays,He's the classiest Horse in the Field by an absolute mile,i very much doubt McCain would be sending him to Cheltenham if he had any sort of niggles as it would put the Horses Career at risk,should be a 6/4 shot in this race imo

Well he was my Nap in the Arkle so certainly see no reason to change that here,Cristal Bonus 2nd fav?For non stop 3rd fav?sir de champs will probably run in the RSA and even if he doesnt he's still a long way behind pc,it's not as if he's anything special to beat in the Jewson,Cant see him been beat at all,unless he's totally gone at the game,which is unlikely

He is 9/2 on here so yeah you can argue at the prices he is a fair bet.

No idea about this race at the moment myself. I guess you can say last years winner won this race on his first attempt over 20f over fences , which is what PC is doing.

Dont really get why their running him at all if he's had a problem to be honest,
and as i said the other day,nobody remembers Jewson winners


There's only been 1 since it became a non-handicap!

Came right in on Arkle before suspension. If I had been around, I would layed some more on that race, can't believe they will change again.

has to be considered that he doesn't make festival at all.  clearly something not right to change races in the first place. and very weak in market even now.
