Lie Forrit in the JLT Specialty Handicap Chase on the first day, it's his only entry.
Horse has been given a very generous mark, compared to what he achieved as a hurdler. Was always going to be a chaser, and he's been running in small filed novice chases so far, which isn't really ideal.
This race will provide his ideal conditions, a big field, a strong pace, 3miles and we know he acts on the course. Novices have a decent record in this race.
I think he's a fair bet, 25/1 is available or 20/1 NRNB.

Having gone through the fred, and ruled out anything that
1. no longer has an entry 2. isnt in one of the handicaps 3. Is not 16/1 or bigger on its current price
The only one I can find is Argocat in the Fred Winter (16/1). This one suits me but I'm willing to listen to any suggestions of an alternative.
Does anyone have any other nominations? I'll choose some time tomorrow (say by 18.00 Sunday), giving everyone time to get on.

Sire De Grugy has won since the Betfair and ran a very creditable race in the Imperial Cup today off 147 carrying top weight. Olofi was only 1 length behind in the Betfair and will only be on 136 in the County.

cinders and ashes is being well talked about here in spain by the dreaded oirish ,,over to plunder the sport in englands ,home of nat hunt ,,probably a stone in hand and under the handicappers RADAR ?????? around 9/1 1O/1 looks a sensible price for a chargeeeeeee , seemed to join in at a latter time, according to notes I wrote down ...?very often talk is easier ,away from the homeland ...dont know anything about the horse, trainer or anything ...only an ear to the ground ... any ideas if this is suitable ?

I am waiting to find out if RILEYEV is going to get a run in the Byrne Plate. Venetia loves a Festival handicap winner and they tried it out at Newbury over 2 mile 4. Loves good ground and has decent Cheltenham form and has won 3 from 5 starts in the month of March lifetime 25/1 but have to wait for the decs

this horse has been talked about and backed by loads of forumites this winter and there have been excuses for every defeat, needs soft and does not win races (last win 2009 was it?)
bound to be others with plenty more in hand but GL fellas, no for me

I had a small amount on e/w at 25s a couple of weeks ago and I would have hated to let this go unbacked.
However on the whole I agree with judo that the ground will be against him so apologies I won't go in again.

Trainer Tom George is still intending to run Olofi at this week's Cheltenham Festival despite withdrawing the grey from tomorrow's champion Hurdle. Olofi and the Willie Mullins-trained Thousand Stars were taken out of the champion Hurdle at yesterday's declaration stage, but George is aiming his six year-old at Friday's Vincent O'Brien County Hurdle.
However, the news of an extra runner in the County Hurdle will come as a blow to the connections of Paintball as it reduces the chances of Saturday's Sandown winner getting into the field and chasing a £75,000 bonus from Paddy Power after winning the sponsor's Imperial Cup.
Even with a 5lb penalty, Paintball is 49th in a race limited to 28 runners.
Thousand Stars was shortened to 6-1 (from 7-1) for the Ladbrokes World Hurdle by sponsors.
With Olofi rerouted to Friday, George will now run three of his four-strong festival squad on the final day with JCB Triumph Hurdle favourite Baby Mix and Sivola de Sivola (Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle) also due to be in action.
George said "Things didn't go Olofi's way at Newbury (fifth in the Betfair Hurdle). They didn't go quick enough, as the quicker they go the better."
"Sitting third or fourth off a strong pace is what suits him. At Newbury he was stuck at the back and got hampered, then got out on his own in the straight and was looking around."
George, who goes into the festival in top form after having 3 winners from his last 15 runners, reported Baby Mix in top form.
However, the trainer would have preferred to run Sivola de Sivola in Thursday's Pertemps Final rather than the Albert Bartlett.
He said "The Pertemps in the preference but he doesn't look like getting in (39th in the list despite being second favourite)."
French import Terre de Vent will be the trainer's other runner when she contests the OLBG Mares' Hurdle.

I know some people won't agree with the choice of this horse, and God knows its unlikely I would have backed it myself, but the reason for having this charge is this:
I, like many of you guys, have spent hours on this forum over the last few weeks and months, and have contributed to a number of freds, but also really enjoyed reading the thoughts of others on hundreds of other freds I have read but not contributed to.
On some freds there are amazing, well constructed arguments in favour of one horse or another, often coming not just from the head, but like the best viewpoints, also heavily influenced by heart and pocket.
Horses like Sprinter Sacre, Kauto Star and Peddlars Cross have aroused such fierce debate that it is clear that when battle starts tomorrow, and the flag is raised for the Supreme Novices, some on here will be cheering and some will be crying with every winner and loser.
So of the 27 races, it will be great to have one horse in one race that all of us, whether contributors or just readers, we will be all cheering on together. So this is the call to arms, all of you, wherever you will be this week, and whether you think this horse wins or not. Get involved, back Olofi, and chhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrgggggggeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

good luck with this...I think I've supported him in all previous races this year but cant get enthused at the price here on the likely ground ( so he could well bolt in). Local Hero flying the Tidwell flag instead here

MC you're not alone, in the last month my good lady has nicknamed herself the 'cheltenham widow'! I keep reminding her it'll all be over by this weekend. She replies by saying 'if you've placed all your bets what's the point in reading anymore?' Sadly I don't have an answer, but to get back to the point it'll be good to know when cheering Olofi on we'll be as one so to speak. If (& it may be a big ask) the horse gives a big run it'll be a nice ending to the usual banter & good on you for getting it going. GL & have a great week (if not profitable at least enjoyable & I hope the former)

Remember - it's not the winning, it's the taking part!
And just imagine, all the cheers dotted around the course if 'our horse' goes in, to blank stares from 99% of the rest of the crowd.
Better still, the puzzled look on Tanya's face as she reports 'a nationwide plunge on Olofi' based on some stupid cnts playing silly bugg3rs on Betfair!
Im in, just for the laugh!

See the 16s now gone - see what they all do when they get ready for overnight prices.
If the ground was soft enough for Cape Tribulation, then should be OK for Olofi - in again I go

For what it's worth my 'forum charge' selection would have been Sailors Warn in the County.
Looked like winning the Triumph turning in last year and ran well in the Tote Gold Trophy - looks very overpriced at 25/1+ to me.

I'm back in again with today's winnings. Got the forecast up in the Jewson, then piled into Riverside Theatre whilst place laying Rubi Light and Noble Prince.

I never could resist a charge (even though this fellow had cost me all season).
Just had the Maximum bet allowed with Ladbrokes online at 12s - roughly the cost of an average takeaway

Form of the betfair hurdle not working out too bad.
Zarkandar beaten 6 lengths in a Champion, GMOOH ran a great race under top weight in the koral, Darlan second in the Supreme and Sire de Grugy second in an Imperial Cup.
All points to Olofi or Raya Star in this

Was going to mate, but going round to my brothers instead now - don't think I can take any more pints this week!
When Olofi comes in I'm sure I'll be able to hear your shouting from ours though!!
I'll be in there on Saturday though for Paddys day - we always go to the Rigbys courtyard.

Wasn't Olofi a forum 'charge' horse on at least one occasion last season? Got his ground tomorrow so I'll give him another chance.

Reading through the "Festival Plunge" thread, I thought I'd have to bump this back to the top, for the benefit of those who weren't on the forum then.
Go to page 3, and read from there; the excitement was brilliant
We all went in at 16/1, the price kept getting shorter, then Pricewise tipped him and went joiunt fav on here!
Shame he finished down the field, only to hose up next time out
I had a big say in the Olofi selection, so I won't put a selection up, but am fully behind the CHHAAAARRRGGGEEE!
