I agree. I'm sure he should be out soon but I have no idea

Agree Ibrahima.
I remember your Sprinter Sacre thread from last year, before he'd had a run over hurdles. Let's hope your judgement is as good this year and can improve 2 more places ![]() To be honest, its the people from this forum who have put me on to Mono Man (and have now backed him), so if he loses I owe you all a kick in the nuts ![]() ![]() |
By:
I keep searching him on the entries, something tells me he has been put away or nicky thinks he is a chaser.
But after his run in one of the hottest races over 2 miles away from ireland i was blown away even thou i backed its a gimme. Then again i think it was the same race at newbury where Kings Theatre finished 2nd and he paid its way (for me anyway) ![]() Still have a feeling the way Mono Man took off after that mistake at the last makes me think he is special. oh and the 4k bets recorded on Mono man that day. |

On him as well had entries xmas period none taken, Henderson likes holding them back but like Spirit Son where nothing mentioned for months may have had problems? Notice to Sint? lol!
His trainer will be moaning like **** if we get some bad weather again and cant get run in etc etc, like 2 seasons ago. |

Bollox and Spirit Son, not looking good

read barrys blog on atr after its last run. I will bet which ever race in runs in. bet bobs worth in wrong one last year, so more careful this year.
By:
Barry's blog is somewhat lacking in credibility at the mo.
By:
Why so Stront? You surely dont believe he wrote what he wrote in the knowledge that SS had this problem?
By:
2 mile 5 furlong novice hurdle at Cheltenham next Saturday that Bob's Worth won last season?
By:
No RC, I was being facetious and I have the utmost respect for Barry Geraghty. However, I do remember last year going to the Sandown Festival preview evening and listening to Hendo talk up Binocular in strong terms only for him to be withdrawn the next morning. Maybe I'm just getting cynical as I age.
By:
that would be nice as i am going that day.
By:
Is he really a stayer? Thought he traveled like a horse with plenty of speed on his hurdles bow & looked pretty damn quick in his bumpers.
By:
I don't know mate. Clutching at straws!
By:
Hi Stront - I am getting equally cynical, no worries! The Binocular situation was shocking and I do not think the trainer has handled the SS situation very well.
By:
FF - he could go to that race, though I wonder whether Broadback Bob or SImonsig may be more likely to be entered given they have already been tried over further? I think Mono would stay and the trainer did run General Miller in Saturday's race on the back of just one run but i suspect 2 may be the trip at the moment.
I am guessing but other possible races would be those at Fos Las (4th) given its similarity to Newbury and Sprinter Sacre went there last yr, Newbury (11th) given he has run there, Exeter (12th, Spirit Son last yr), Sandown 17th, Ascot 18th (track form and Sprinter ran last yr), Kempton 25th. |

By:
BroadbackBob and master of the game-Henderson's only entries for the novice hurdle at chelt. on saturday.Geraghty already declared for Bob.
By:
Not worried by lack of entries thus far, but alarming drift for the supreme. Neptune bound maybe?
By:
Broadbackbob the one for Neptune amongst others, Simonsig gone quiet on this one as well re updates.
By:
No news /entries on Mono Man drifting in Supreme, not looking good.

Not a good sign but It's a Gimme out to 75's.. Someone taking a view? Like I say not a positive but still have a bit of hope.
By:
Ib,
Presume you've seen his Supreme & Neptune entries |
By:
Just have, promising news. Maybe the horse is so good that nicky is confident he will need just one more run in feb.
By:
nicky has 12 in supremes ffs - fingers crossed for a run
By:
Ibrahima - I think Oscar ran on the back of just 2 hurdle runs (both wins) - Newbury in December and Sandown in Feb (Oscar also won a bumper in Novemvbr).
By:
Lets hope so been a bit of a forgotten horse since xmas last entries, needs to win soon with weather not good etc.
By:
Cheers RC, will tkae a close look at the decs after the 14th of feb.
By:
Just seen on the excellent Mark Howard website news that Mono Man was found to be lame after his debut hurdles run and a suggestion that a return to action is imminent. Phew. Plenty of options left, ones the trainer has exploited before.
By:
Lets hope weather improves or will run out of time.

One horse I am interested in, who ties in with Mono Man is OSCAR DARA, formerly with Alan Flemming and now with Nicky Henderson.
He is due to run at exeter next week and has an entry in the Neptune, apparantly he's been working well on the gallops. Url below is from the owners blog who details the injury record the horse has had, and would love to see this horse run well at Cheltenham. http://www.narrowing-the-field.co.uk/1189/owners-insight-%E2%80%93-hurrying-up-to-date/ |

By:
Ran great at Ascot I thought, but Mono a shade better certainly IMO.
By:
Thanks RC made me feel a lot more confident. I thought there must have been a little problem somewhere.

100-1. Game up presumably.
