I was really taken by the respective running times of the Supreme and Champion Hurdle and took the view that whichever of the first three from that race were to stay hurdling I would back. Alas, once it was mentioned Spirit Son was 6 months behind (at Cheltenham) post Aintree win and was staying hurdling - I jumped on the 25/1 available that afternoon.
Oscars Wells - is a very interesting runner and one I feel could be anything and appears to be aimed at this. I expecting him to win Neptune barring his last flight slip and helped myself to the 20/1.
Zarkander looks special but I never like to side with Triumph winners the following year (5 years olds and all that!)
But can anyone stop Hurricane Fly? No value in the current price especially as it has missed the festival 2 of the last 3 years due to injuries... But if he turns up...
aintree form doesnt hold up more often than not, funny track.if you look at how sam winner ran, it could be that zarkandar did well to win! il be backing him e/w nrnb but i dont expect ruby to be begging nicholls for the ride. h fly def the one to beat
