He's just a horse dwm and he has avery good chance, only a fool would write off a horse as talented as him, any of 7 horses can win this race.
Will you admit you are wrong if Hurricane Fly places given you say he'll finish 6th or 7th? |

Not getting into arguments here lads, but HF has beaten the same horse a million times over, never been at the course etc... I've bought into these Irish superstars too many times before, all to do IMO, I fancy Menorah, we'll see on tuesday. (both prob be hammered out of site![smiley:crazy])

CV of course I will, despite what many of you might think I am not just knocking the horse for the sake of it, I honestly don't believe he has the chance his price suggests, if he wins the race or is place then i'll start a thread admitting im wrong for all to see!
Evra, you honestly believe all it takes to stay the Cheltenham hill is to have won over a distance further than the race trip!? If you do you are an utter simpleton, and I fear for you next week, you're gonna lose fortunes!! Deplasterer has got a point, we get these so called superstar's from Ireland over every year, and while they've stood up in the past, in recent years a number of them have flopped!! I've fallen for a lot of them myself!! Irish racing is very poor, and a Grade One over there is the equivalent of a Grade Two over here; I think it'd pay a lot of people to note that. |

How many grade 1s Menorah & Peddlars won?
This boils down to figures horses posted and its a three horse race in my opinion - Binocular Hurricane Fly and Khyber Kim. I truly believe last years race was a very good renewal,figures back this up.Can Hurricane match these figures ? We do not know how much in hand he had over Solwhit or Go Native - But you think between 3 possibly 8 lengths in hand he bang there with the other two. I have Followed the jumps for nearly 30 years and this is a special horse alright and without sustaining injuries previously last two years i am convinced he be going for the hat trick next week. Its not all about betting but i would love to see him win and bury the Montjeu ghost.Only two champion 2 milers better See you when and Istabraq in my lifetime - He still got time to reach them dizzy heights , he is that good.Speed wins champion hurdles and this fella got it in bucket loads. Binocular only one i fear. |

You are correct mate it is all about opinions. Hurricane Fly has always seemed to have a great career behind him. Bumping heads with Solwhit in Ireland is a very different test to the one he will face on Tuesday. Horses that travel well always seem to have big fan clubs regarless of what they find of the bridle. I suspect HF will finish unplaced in the CH but whatever happens it's going to be an awesome race[:D] Here's hoping it's the cracker it looks on paper and all the horses come back safe. |

Hurricane Fly has shown he can find off the bridle too, at the Punchestown festival last year.

Aye, thankfully that's it. I'm off tomorrow morning won't be back online until Monday when I get to Cheltenham. Think this Champion Hurdle is unique as it's so good and there's so many supporters of each horse.

its clear to me that Hurricane Fly would have p1ssed up in the Supreme won by Go Native, Go Native went off 11/4fav for last yrs Champion..had Hurricane Fly been around he would surely have gone to the champion on the back of a few wins making him an even shorter priced fav than Go Native was (guessing about 2/1)..this year he can be backed at 11/2 and the horse has done nothing wrong!! Beyond the fact that I think he is potentially a superstar he must be backed at this price given where he would have been trading had he run in last yrs champion

There are some comedians on here using Hurricane Fly has only beaten Solwhit to try and shoot him down in flames.
Someone please show me a leading contender who has beaten anything nearing Solwhit's record apart from the reigning Champion. Menorah? Cue Card, Bothy and Get me out of Here definitely not. Peddlar's Cross ? an unfit Binocular can hardly be counted, Starluck and Duke of Lucca would be tailed off in this race. Dunguib's opponents are worth mentioning and neither are Oscar Whiskys. They really are underestimating just how good a horse Solwhit is compared to what the rest have been racing against this season |

Why is that so funny!? Sizing Europe handles the track but doesn't get up the hill, he was screaming for the line in last year's arkle, and he's proved since he stays further! It happens, the hill has made many a classy horse look ordinary, and I expect we'll seem the same come 3.25 on Tuesday!

Last years arkle winner does not get up the chelt hill thats your best post yet just pricelessas for the other morons on here once again attacking one of the best hurdlers in training,solwhit,i'm now reading on here that HF is a bridle horse i'm starting to feel sorry for the state of the racing public who have such a lack of knowledge,you people should be ashamed of yourselves,i'm all for people having an opinion,but when there opinion is complete rubbish it needs saying. |

Yeah see if racing was actually as simple as "a horse what (should be that really) wins the Arkle clearly get's up the hill", then I wouldn't be interested in it really, because it could always be solved by simpletons like yourself and this Evra character!
Look boys, do your bollocks on the horse, I couldn't give a ****! What's gonna wind me up is come Tuesday night we're gonna either have all you lot either making excuses for the horse, or worse giving it the "well, he tried his best and just wasn't good enough on the day" number! He won't win, and the way you're all building him up he should, so be prepared to admit your failings and offer a word or two of criticism about the horse when he doesn't, do be all magnanimous in defeat, because you've gone too far to pull that off convincingly! |
