However, we have very high hopes for the filly A MEDIA LUZ in the Triumph Hurdle Trial. She was classy on the flat in France — sixth in the Prix Diane - and she has worked and schooled well. She’s definitely got the ability in the book and you would like to think that she’s going to put up a very big show, even though this is good class race with the likes of Sam Winner and Pantxoa who have both got to give her a stone. Sam Winner especially impressed me when he won here last time so my filly will need to be on song — but I feel that she is. She has plenty of size and scope and the ground shouldn’t be a problem.

A Media Luz pulled badly early and ran a similar race to what Grand Douet did in his debut. Expect her to improve a lot.
Another impressive win from Sam, he is now 2/2 at the course which is a massive bonus for backers. Be warned though the trainer expressed concerns about possible quick ground on the Friday of the festival and has thus given him an entry in the Supreme and said it would be likely as the horse much prefers some cut. |

What's this CH4 saying Nicholls may be considering the Supreme for him? Are they making it up they seem to come out with some 'strange' info.

Just said the horse ideally would like it soft and if it looked likely to be slower on the 1st day of the festival then he could switch to the Supreme Novices.

Chelt in January is likely to be horses next run as well it mentioned in RP today.

I was there to watch and to be honest 30 seconds before the end of the race thought very impressive and then he seemed to be going pretty flat out. Perhaps it is just me but those last few seconds took some of the gloss of his 2/2. No bet on SW for me but if you have fancy prices on SW then good luck

Anyone getting a bit worried about the stable's unraced BRAMPOUR? Getting a horrible feeling that this may end up being the PFN main hope. It looks like he has been seemingly well supported in recent days. Anywon heard owt?

There will be a lot waiting to see if Cue Crad runs. If he doesnt perhaps a few Triumph horses will defect to the Supreme.

Stake after Sam won 1st time up...when quizzed if he was the best Juvenile in the yard he answered saying he's the best at the moment.

Is there anything else of Paul Nicholls' you're looking forward to at the Winter Festival?
He's introducing a juvenile hurdler called Brampour that he got from the Aga Khan for the first race on the second day and there's been a bit of money for him for the Triumph Hurdle. I see he's third favourite at the moment and he's a nice horse. I think outside Kauto Star, Paul would say Brampour is his best bet of the meeting, he's quite excited about him. It was interesting he was saying Sam Winner could go for the Supreme Novices' at the weekend which would suggest he's got something else for the Triumph Hurdle. People have made the connection which could explain the recent money. |

why would brampour be as good as zaidpour just cos there names are similar dont mean ther both monsters does it

I've not said they would be similar because of their names.
But they are both from the Aga Khan production line and Zaidpour was to be a Triumph Hurdle contender last season but for injury. There are obvious similarites, and the fact they have the best stables.imo |
