sweating in the California heat who'd have thunk it
If he's sweating he aint dehydrated is he so its a positive if anything. He looks fine to me, tense and focused as you'd expect him to be. |

I have a slightly different outlook on this fight than you Joe.
I feel Kell is by far the better technical boxer here.......sure he cant retreat in straight lines and needs good head movement tonight with the added problem of a break in his nose very likely again. I feel if this goes to points Kell wins (((if the judges are fair)))...........big ask . 6.2/1 =26/5 Kell to win on points is my bet tonight......I will cover my outlay with the ko aswell but I am of the firm opinion Porter is at best a very good boxer ..he will not have an answer when Kell counters him which I am expecting tonight . Many think Brook aint a big hitter which to a degree you guys have a point ....if hes in trouble thoo we may be shocked tonight ...his safety first attitude has gained him the non big hit status. I hope this guy wins tonight and think 26/5 is very very good value for a guy who I feel will outpoint Porter. |
|
By:
Kell's a decent puncher when he's on the front foot and spiteful but they've turned him into a back foot fighter for some reason and you dont generate the same power on the back foot.
Tonight he should tuck his chin down be on the front foot snap out a ramrod jab and bring over the right. But I dont believe he will do that think he will be bullied and shocked and KO'D |
|
By:
Gonna be interesting for sure, porter does allow other fighters to work off the front foot inbetween his bursts. That's why I like the fight, both fighters at their best are a stylistic nightmare for the other, brook useless inside, porter not so good t on the back foot. Could be a cracket I ll be honest I'll be gutted if brook folds up withoutat least pputting on a good show.
Very interesting to see who looks the boss physically...brook is ****g huge fir a welter but porter a compact powerhouse. |

Callum Smith and Campbell not getting paid tonight. He looks after his fighters does Eddie

Not really sold on Porter yet but when I have watched Brook I've gotten the feeling he is not particularly durable. And his defensive postures could also use a little working on. Porter is a bit crude at times and just steps forward and wings in shots but his athleticism makes it work.
I think Porter is just tougher than Brook (and has a better chin) and will knock him out in the second half of the fight. Three decent fights on the card tonight, quite a change from last weeks embarrassment. |

I see Deontay Wilder is on the undercard, he's a best price 1/3 to win in the 1st round against Jason Gavern

|
By:
Probably haven't bothered to pay off Gavern because we're fresh off the Malik Scott farce so this may go 2-3 rounds.

On the purse Hibbie no. Dont know if Hearn is paying em out his own pocket

Anybody like Arslan coming up shortly? 5-1 seems worth a bet, Hernandez not too active lately and has had some health issues/manager issues. Arslan is relentless and gives himself a chance to win on points with his style. Hernandez hasn't fought an aggressive fighter in years.
Also think Estrada is a very live underdog against Figueroa. Estrada is a pretty skilled boxer and Figueroa is openly stating he's not sure if his hands will hold up anymore. Left trainer Joel Diaz to train with his father closer to home. Cited the quality sparring on offer with Diaz was useless now because he can't really spar much anyways. Also Figuerora has stated he will move to 140 after this fight and even has said he has trouble putting on muscle now to make 135. Not to mention his performance last time out against Belmontes was lackluster and could've gone either way. And Belmontes himself didn't go on to glory after that close fight as he recently lost in his hometown to Abner Cotto. |

By:
After the way Arslan went down last time no I cant have him. After the first huck fight I would of played him but there looks to be nothing left and 44 next month
|
|
By:
Hernandez doesn't have the brute power of Huck. Arslan is some kind of gym rat, I think his conditioning will be top notch. I don't think Hernandez will like the pressure of Arslan and not sure he has enough power to deter Firat.
Hernandez canceled his last fight due to a stomach infection (and struggled with a virus against Alekseev in his last fight) and also had surgery on a broken left hand this year. Just not feeling his heath issues and relative inactivity lately against a pressure fighter, 40+ or not. |
|
By:
Dont think Huck has any raw power he wears you down doesnt throw a shot correctly at all, you can tell he's a ex kickboxer. Hernandez actual punching power is a lot greater just that he's a typical lazy Cuban. The punch Huck drops Arslan with is a nothing shot. I agree Arslan's style is a nightmare for Hernandez if he had anything left

Hernandez tying up here Horangi

Arslan gave it a go but Hernandez held up well in the end. Bizarre scoring, wasn't scoring intensely but for me didn't see Arslan winning more then 4 rounds.
