Just watched the fight back, Martinez did deserved it but God he came close to losing it in the last. If one or two more big power punches landed he would have been out of their, he was dead on his feet. You have to give it to Chavez, to take a beating but still had the power (I want to believe he is clean ). He has a lot of heart even if he hasn't the skills.

Got Chavez off the list at the first attempt, easy to say now but that really should have been a full bank job. Plenty of us have been saying for donkeys that he's terrible, 4-7 from Fred was a gift, but Chavez a non tryer, wtf?
The lad's probably got the biggest grapefruits in the sport, with or without extra help from ariza. He's limited, every fight fan knows that but his determination and chin is unquestionable, really don't got your post Non Tryer, baffling. What do we want to see next for Martinez? Plenty of decent fights out there at middlewieght and the promoters and governing bodies have no excuses for not making them! Martinez, Golovkin, Geale, Chavez, Pirog, Macklin and Lee all have a will fight anyone attitude! Let's get it on!

Martinez simply supreme. bloke is different class to think he broke his hand in the 4th and done knee ligaments in the 11th. Lost on th fight, managed to get a bit back Martinez pts wasevs after 9. Great to watch

yeah took a fair hit here but have to think the stoppage would have come but for the broken hand.
 Had a go on Sergio round 8 aswell, when Chavez just about survived the 7th I thought for a minute it was going to be a very good night indeed  |
