a few going up and a supriseingly srtong entry point for pv if my mole is correctSurprised
Report yer ma November 9, 2011 3:55 PM GMT
If your mole has a say, tell them to wise up.  He's a 6k stallion in the UK, forget Makfi thats comedy money.

that was my view also,i heard he was going to be more than double that Shocked!! i was deff interested in sending one to him but no chance if he's in that ball park

Any news on Delegator's future at all? I was told early in the year by Sam Bullard that they were planning to stand him
Report neill d November 9, 2011 5:57 PM GMT
Poet's Voice gentlemen, the way to go I'd have thought, a lot more ability than he ever got to show due to his inability to settle and he still got a Group 1, and whatsmore, a prestige Group 1. By a sire who's progeny are good at 2, but get even better at 3. I t all depends on the fee I suppose but I can't see anything not to like about this fella.
Report potentialmillionaire November 9, 2011 6:16 PM GMT
Sounds like the fee may disprove your last theory neil d!
Report roy jones November 9, 2011 6:28 PM GMT
will some fees go up?
wicht stallions?

any predictions?
Report neill d November 9, 2011 6:30 PM GMT
What would he be would ye think, 10-12k, maybe 15k in a really bad scenario? I was thinking at first he'd be around 7 or 8k
Report neill d November 9, 2011 6:32 PM GMT
I thought he was a smashing 2yo, he hadn't a clue how to race though, really improved for being ridden cold.
Report roy jones November 9, 2011 6:41 PM GMT
will E and E fee will raise?
Report jonnyrotten November 9, 2011 6:43 PM GMT
yes plenty
Report yer ma November 9, 2011 8:12 PM GMT
This is rather depressing. The rationale might be that they're using good mares to him and thus his fee cant be too low but why put people off at 10k+. How many £40k+ yearlings is he going to have with no runners - a dozen?  E & E was one of a handful of UK sires (almost) guaranteeing a profit for a decent foal but not at £20k.  Next it'll be Kyllachy back up to £12k and Dutch Art £10k.  Clearly 2 years of being reasonable was enough.
Report roy jones November 9, 2011 8:28 PM GMT
maybe E and E will stand at 15 £ next year.....
2 group 1 winner, the price will go up

cape cross will go down , no great winner..........
Report jonnyrotten November 9, 2011 8:47 PM GMT
i heard more than that roy and no reduction for cc, i could be wromg

I suppose Exceed and Excel will go on? I just have a slight worry though as he hasn't always been the easiest commercially and there have been times when temperament doubts amongst other things have made him tricky. A quieter year and those doubts resurfacing could make a silly fee now look very expensive down the line. . .

Cape Cross gets you a runner, tightens up a mares dodgy conformation and has never been short of goodwill from breeders looking to start a nice mare off to a good start. Sales were a bit more solid this year so I suppose you can see the rationale in keeping him static. Darley are certainly not quite the benefactors they may have appeared pre 2010.

Echoing what Gimcrack said - Where's Delegator?

Nothing else appeals, it's all about cheap speed for PP. With the emphasis on the cheap.
Report rubyisgodinthesaddle November 13, 2011 2:27 AM GMT
Dubawi very expensive as JMC said.
Report Black Sam Bellamy November 13, 2011 6:06 PM GMT
Kheleyf is well priced at £4k
Report RipVanWinkle November 22, 2011 11:21 AM GMT
I'm very disappointed in there fees this year only interesting two for me are Ravens Pass and Kheleyf. I just hope that its not Suroor who gets the best Ravens Pass's as it could be his downfall. Teofilo got a big rise and i'm not so sure it was justified, saw Parish Hall before and he wasn't that impressive to me. Crazy prices for Dubawi and for one of my favourites Shamardal. Exceed and Excel might get to many stoute mares might not suit. I've heard of a couple of irish breeders going to support Kheleyf big this year
