If the parade draw draws to lead it will just about win, don't say you weren't told.

Only 4 possibles in the Inter final after the draw.
Lovers Delight obviously leads (as aggressively declared) and that gives him a hope. Waylade has a great draw, Hall will end up where Alford wants him to, but either way he will be in the fight. Philly Man has a great draw, no decision at all to make for Lang, just drops in behind Waylade and Lenny and gets a lovely sit. He might be the biggest winner from the draw. The only one of those with a decision to make is Alford, can push past Waylade and breeze, or drop straight on to its back. The danger with the first is you have Waylade and Philly Man getting the drop on you, the danger with the second is they go too slow and Lovers Delight only has to run a half, and you might not get him. The rest just can't win the way the draw has fallen for mine. Lenny should win, he is the best horse without doubt, but I suspect his draw is the trickiest of the 4 remaining hopes |

So now that people have figured out it leads, this goes there, that sits here etc
Does that mean we get a cleansed Inter Final, whereby no one does anything no one makes any moves,no one attacks?(at their own detriment?) or Do we get kamikaze's from the jump or backmarkers saying I can't beat those up front but i definitely won't get anywhere sitting back here ? |
|
By:
Eightball,
Anything can happen. It just does look on paper 1 to lead and Lenny to Death and wont give up or Lenny gets front off 1 I can even see Waylade on back of Lovers Delight and hope for luck if they come out humming and Flaming Flutter cant hold back. Devendra has to play for luck as cant see using up at start. |

What are the security arrangements for the final?

Lloydy your old horse Ronald George is close to back to his best
Never really fired in QLD but his last two runs at Penrith have been first rate Expect him to keep winning IMO - showing a great sprint at the moment |

If u lived in WA u wouldn't know it was on. Papers don't even have a Race guide.
Nobody here. 1.01 they will do it Friday night next year. Go Lenny |
|

Twitter is where all the action is apparently Lloydy.
Mach Beauty finished distant last in the consolation and Mach Alert doesn't even start in it. Who couldn't see that coming after their antics in the heats. On the other hand I was astonished by how well Devendra went last start, after the kamikaze run it had. Freakish win. |

Tailed off Menin Gate... It joins the long list of eastern horses who head over there as budding stars and return as shattered husks.

Absolutely brained them, pure dominance.
Love ya Lenny ![]() ![]() |

Lennys from heaven.

Go Lenny and Nike Franco.
Did declare both of them. Fill up. I need Business class on way home just to take the Cash home |
|
By:
Well done Lloydy, you get plenty right that's for sure
U went to WA hey and disappointed with the crowd and mainstream coverage Over here the mainstream coverage was close to non existent Sky did a great job (as I thought did GP / RWWA) but where is promotion by the national body Harness Racing Australia of their flagship event? Can one imagine the Aust Cricket Board doing no promotion for a Test match? |
|
By:
PS - I know he is that sort of horse that needs luck but gee I wish My Hard Copy got out at the 300
runs into the back of tiring Philly, dragged right back to last, goes wide on track blocked, dragged back to the inside and runs on well again a wall loomed in front of him |
|
By:
Would u believe I got in the nugget consession 1.50 the winner and consession Lenny 2.20.
I put many bets on to get. Promo $50 fixed odds money back if run 2nd or 3rd. Greatest promo I have ever seen. And both horses won so even better. Still counting. Great day. Just a **** day to do it. Friday night is GP night. Don't change it. People will come all over Aus. On a Sunday they won't come. Showed it today. Empty. |

Over here the mainstream coverage was close to non existent where is promotion by the national body Harness Racing Australia of their flagship event? I had no interest in the event and can understand why many other eastern state punters had little interest....no fizz or sparkle to get me in ....something needs to be done to generate interest if i had no interest then well something need to be done |
|
By:
well in some ways Henry I think there must be little interest from you in the sport because if you had of watched the heats I don't see how you would think there was no fizz?
The racing itself was not the problem it was the lack of any promotion outside of the WA organisers and Sky Serious question but what fizz would have got you interested? |

Agreed..didnt even bother watching the heats... it was the lack of any promotion outside of the WA organisers and Sky Agreed what fizz would have got you interested? The thought of rivalry between foes etc....seemed to me just to be the standard of a "free for all" class Lenny was always top pick and winner before the heats started...Yawnnnn Can anyone seriously say anything could beat it ... nothing in any of the B graders really was ever going to win (Philly a B + /A- horse) Dont think anyone here picked anything else ..so perhaps thats the proof... |

Surely something has to go wrong for anything other than Lenny or Philly to win the final? Lenny is the more bombproof for me[/i] Summed up perfectly by Aussie 12 days before the final...really what many many many also thought and expected..... |
|

Thanks Henry

Trotman it ironically was Waylade the stablemate that dragged him back to last not Philly as I said earlier.
I can't blame Clint it just didn't work out. If Waylade and Philly didn't under perform they could have taken My Hard Copy into the race and who knows. Definitely capable of peeling off faster sectionals than even the winner came home in |
|
By:
Shut up about it Craig please, for god sake why tell everyone and we may be some chance of getting on at the right price in the Pacing or Freo Cups.
|
|
By:
was brutal Lets - not even a mention in the stewards report will help the price next time tho
|
|
By:
no interest is right henry. as they were scoring up there was only a few bucks over 100k in both victab pool and the matched total on betty. hard to believe but that is trots 2015... next up is gallops imo.
|
|
By:
The trots are on life support with no long term future. The die hards know it but do not want to accept it.
|
|
By:
Trotlover with u there on that.
The people running it are to Old and need New younger Blood. I think Perth are doing ok be great if they could make track 200mt bigger Was mistake on a Sunday. Maybe start it 5:00pm on the Friday night. There is no Traffic in Perth. My mate went for the Job in Vic 3 years ago. Knows all about Harness, Gun at Marketing they said he had a great application but wasnt what they wanted, they hire Old people who think its still the 80s |
|
By:
that's a big call from you Trotlover, being that you are a trotlover
I'm a bit more optimistic - still a hell of a lot bet across all the fixed odds and totes It may only make up 11 or 12% of total racing pool but that's still a lot of dollars |
|
By:
still a hell of a lot bet across all the fixed odds and totes
Curiously is this from 1. Trot-lovers 2. Rank and file punters 3. Mugs who would bet on flies on the wall 3. Smart money 4. Market manipulators 5. Lloydy himself... ![]() ![]() Personally imo there is toooooooo much perceived rorting (I might be wrong) I might refrain.....toooo many suspicious driving activity (could just be plain old negligence) ...for me to take punting on trots seriously..... Nevertheless ironically prefer night at trots than a day at the gallops track. yet from punting angle I have to pass on the trots. So perhaps there is hope yet !! |

Next leg of the Grand Circuit is the Vic Cup ... great race and time to find the winner as we will all get a price if we are on early. Thoughts?
Well Done also to Craig and Lets (assuming you were on which Im pretty sure you were !!!) Yankee Uniform |
