Shamus Award cant win the Guineas

some long standing trends are being broken into twigs in recent years though ...... what happened last week with fiorente first up at caulfield 1800m ??? ..... and its' no champion (which usually are the horses that break all sorts of trends) i'll be backing its a dunnnybrush to knock it off in the big one, at this stage anyway. Good stat though, i like it ... but don't think you could use it to assign only a 2 out of 28 chance for shamus award... imo.

obviously a very good horse but i'll be on Eurozone and Rock Hero

here's another cracker for you hopeful ......  the last ten listed races at flemington (excluding spring races) at 2500, 2600 or 2800 meters have been won by a horse coming out of either barrier 1 or 2 !!! figure that one out without probability theory    and you can't used field size either because the median field size was 16 horses

Stats are always good, but some just really aren't very relevant, while others need a lot more digging to get the real meaning behind them.

and everything changes (quantum mechanices) ... even in racing.....changes to handicapping rules, vests, drugs and medications, track replacements, track gradings....... you name something it'll change.

Question marks on Eurozone through the week, Shamus Award the clear value and will be tough to beat imo.  I am on.
