Channel 4 coverage on TVN!!!!!!!!!!ExcitedExcitedExcitedExcited

You lot are in for an absolute treat, this is racing coverage at its best, thank fck we
finally get some fair dinkum coverage here at last, I am fkn amped!

What to look out for on day 1-

The roar as they com out on the track for the Supreme Novices (R1)- this is the race that decides the champion first
season hurdler over the calssic hurdlers distance of 2m- it's a race that should theoretically throw up the future
Chamipn Hurdlers'  Willie Mullins tends to bombard the race and have an untested false fav. who has been hacking up
on soft tracks in Ireland. Look for the master himslef Dermot Weld to go close with Galileo's Choice but any 1 of 8 could win.

The Arkle and the Champion Hurdle make up the other 2 Championship races on day 1- a day for the speedsters, (in broad terms stayers race over 3m plus while the speed horses race over 2m. )

The Arkle is not a vintage renewal but nevertheless there are some high class jumpers on display who will run and gun over 2 miles- a jumping display which is nothing short of breathtaking.

Hurricane Run goes off odds on as a winner of 12-14 over hurdles and  the defending Champion hurdler, the 2010 winner Binocular will expose any soft underbelly the reigning Champion may have in only his 2nd run of the season.

Finally, don't miss the cross country and go no further than Edna Bolger the Bart ****s of this niche jumping division. In Nina Carberry
you have the finest female jockey ever to sit on a racehorse in my opinion.

Sit back and enjoy the Festival that all UK racing purests put head and shoulders above the 1 our Caviar will be gracing in June

I was hoping you'd tell me Spoon...Grin

FWIW i shall be backing Monksland in the second.

I shall be opposing the fav in the third [RCA chase]as although he travels quite strongly during a race i think he might be the sort to empty quickly once under pressure.

Instead i will take a chance with Lambro at a big price.

The big race today is the Champion chase and Sizing Europe cannot be opposed.
Ridden by a good friend of mine 'Sizer' is head and shoulders above anything else in the race.

HTH Excited

Right on the money with Sizing Europe farrier, have followed this horse from day 1 and only time he hasnt delivered was when he was clearly not right in the Champion Hurdle.

Just watching the races now, couldn't stay up past the Arkle, eyelid weights inevitably won over

The Arkle winner is as impressive a horse as I have seen since Denman won his Novice staying crown the year before he won the real thing. The horse jumps like a freak and no better man to look after him than Nicky Henderson.

little bit dirty I didnt lay Hurricane Fly in the Champion, arrogant to only give him the 1 run on at flat Leopardstown on a soft track. Horse underdone.

Just watched the Arkle again, forgot Barry compared him favorably to Moscow Flyer after the race, wow.

When: 14 Mar 12 12:34
Geez and Nicky who I know doesn't mind gushing genuinely thinks he may be a superstar.  Start backing him for the 2013 QMCC now and call it a turbo savings account.
Pure athlete, only problem is the exuberance might lead to a fkn shocking fall while he is still such a novice.
