I should have stopped at the win yesterday as WYSEHILLTEABAGS won in good style and then the Place bet dissapointed! 

Today I have backed Number 1 RAYA STAR and Number 6 SHUIL ROYALE in the 2.10 at KEMPTON, 1% on each of them, and I also will be backing the favourites at EXETER and SOUTHWELL in a Stop At A Winner format today and hopefully I should have success in the early races at both venues.MARINO PRINCE looks fairly solid in the 2.30 at EXETER and KISHANDA has been well supported in the 2.55 at SOUTHWELL.

Well I managed to redeem the situation last week with some well placed investements and I had wins with Football bets on SOUTHAMPTON and STEVENAGE on Saturday plus CHELSEA and LIVERPOOL on Sunday. And wins in the horseracing with TOPOLSKI at 15/8 and ALVARADO at 5/4 yesterday.

My 5% Win target this week is £62, giving a daily average of £9 per day and a goal to finish the week at £1,295.

I have had two investments today; Both at KELSO. In the 2.10 race Number 2 WYSEHILLTEABAGS ticks all the boxes for a Win bet and I staked 1% (£12) at 10/11. And in the 3.10 at KELSO Number 1 POKFULHAM is a good candidate for a PLACE only bet and I staked 2%, (£24) on the horse to get 1st, 2nd or 3rd at place odds of 4/6.The philosophy is that if my win bet blows out I should get compensation with my Place bet, that's the theory anyway!

The 3.10 is a handicap and POKFULHAM is top weight at 11-12 with Graham Lee in the saddle. Win odds are around 7/2 and there are several'dangers' in the race so a Place bet is the 'safest' option. POKFULHAM has only been out of the frame twice in nine races and is a very consistent sort and that's what you need to look for with Place investments.

Hopefully I'll get the week off to a good start, otherwise i have to add any losses on to my win target for other bets this week. Still at an average of £9 per day the task is not too onerous.

I have a total of 10% invested in Football bets today and these will either lift my bank after my recent losses due to so called 'professional' advice or I'll be back to square one! I don't know why I bothered taking the advice of the 'pro', I just got tempted by the sales literature blurb and I'm afraid I should know better, especially as I have my own highly effective little system. When you have your own system it is extremely satisfying to be able to find good prospects for success on your own, and I'll be sticking with this for my horseracing bets from now on.

I am making a cautious 1% PLACE bet today on a horse at 5/1. The 2.55 at LINGFIELD is an interesting little handicap and Number 5 SPINNING RIDGE at 5/1 second favourite has recently hit form and has good prospects of getting a PLACE, if not winning the race. I got 2.33 for the Place odds and I am happier playing for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd and have a greater probability of success than with a straight Win bet. I could back it Each Way of course but then if it just finishes second or third I wouldn't get any benefit as the losing Win element snaffles the Place winnings.You pays your money and takes your choice as they say.

How are you doing at CHELTENHAM? I enlisted the help of a 'professional' over the past couple of days. Yesterday the 'professional' lost ten bets in a row! I managed to ameliorate my loss to 6% but it was still a blow. The 'professional' has been fired!

Today I have gone for two of my own system selections: TOWCESTER 2.30 Number 1, VICTRIX GALE and WOLVERHAMPTON 7.15 Number 10, SAINT HELENA at 4/7 and 11/8 respectively. I have also had a 2% PLACE only bet on the 3.05 at TOWCESTER Number 1, ATHERSTONE HILL.

Plus, I now have the much appreciated assistance of someone who has been quite successful at Football betting and I am hoping to make a good profit on my weekend Football bets from now on and these should help me to recover recent losses and get back 'on track'.

I am looking forward to the racing at CHELTENHAM again today, especially the 'clash of the Titans' in the 3.20 between BIG BUCKS and GRANDS CRUS but I won't be getting financially involved there - anything can win. Still - great stuff to watch though.

don't you just love Cheltenham? Decent odds for us at last! However, I said on my club blog today, it is easy to get carried away with 'Good Things' which then go on to disappoint you and you can end up doing your dough! So for me I am having some ever so cautious bets in proportion to my bank which I am nursing along in these early days.My bets at Cheltenham are composed of 1/2% Win and 1% PLACE, which is £6 Win and £12 Place relative to my bank.

Cheltenham is all about 'opinions' and shocks and glory so if I make an overall profit today, having enjoyed the glorious spectacle I will be a happy bunny. I backed 1.30 SPIRIT SON, 2.05 GHIZAO, 3.20 MENORAH, & 4.00 GARDE CHAMPETRE in that way. I also had two small covering £6 Win Singles on 2.05 MEDERMIT and 3.20 HURRICANE FLY.

My total investment on my Cheltenham bets is 7% of the bank. I am also investing a total of 6% today on a three leg Stop At A Winner strategy bet on three horses: 1.20 SOUTHWELL, Number 1 WHERES REILEY,1.45 SEDGEFIELD Number 11 STREAMTOWN and 2.20 SEDGEFIELD Number 2 FINLAY. Any one of them wins and I make a profit and if they all lose then it's not too 'catastrophic'. Fingers crossed.

Hi, well my 10% Football bet, which hardly ever loses went and lost! Otherwise I would have been nicely up on the week and in fact my club members bank is at £1,235.43 (+23%) because I am forbidden to share the football bets with my members! I started the week with a loss at Ffos Las and an unplaced Place bet but then had eleven winners with ALLA SVELTA, TIPTOEAWAY, SEMI COLON, BRILLIANT BARCA, GURTACRUE, ICANRUNCANYOU, RENARD D'IRLANDE, COOL MISSION, RAYSROCK and on Sunday BALLYBRIGGAN and a successful Place bet on LASTOFTHEBUNCH. So it would have been an excellent week were it not for my losing football bet as my club members made + £123.55. I am hoping for a successful week this week and I am starting with three bets today.

I have had two 2% win singles on BALLERINA in the 2.20 at TAUNTON and CORK ALL STAR in the 4.40 at STRATFORD. And in the 2.00 at PLUMPTON I backed Number 1 AMAURY DE LUSIGNAN £14 at 2.64 (13/8) and Number 6 SHOOTIN THE BREEZE £11 at 3.75. Now I count that as one bet because obviously only one of them can win, but if that happens I will make a net profit on the bet.

I am looking forward to CHELTENHAM this week. I usually back an Irish trained horse in the first race as they usually win the first race!

Only the one bet yesterday with COOL MISSION  at AYR. A 2% investment  returned me + £16.

CHELTENHAM next week and you can feel the excitement building. I don't get heavily involved there as they are all good and all trying their best, but I'm bound to have a small interest or two which I hope to share with you.

I have had a couple of speculative bets today, both at AYR. In the 4.30 Number 8 CIRCUS CLOWN at 2/1 (1% = £12), and in the 5.05 I backed Number 3 RAYSROCK £14 at 6/4 and Number 5 DESPERATE DEX £11 at 9/4. This was a five runner race but has been reduced to four, so I literally have a 50% probability of success as I am covering half the field!

Rugby this afternoon, Christ only 1 Bud left in the fridge! - Have to dash. Have a good weekend.

Well my fortunes picked up yesterday as I had three bets and three wins with BRILLIANT BARCA at 9/4 and GURTACRUE  and ICANRUNCANYOU. I have to be fair to my club subscribers, which is why some days I can only report in retrospect, otherwise I wouldn't have any subscribers as they'd all just check out this blog for free!

I have had just the one bet today which is on the 3.25 at FOLKESTONE, Number 1 'RENARD D'IRLANDE'. A bit short at 8/11 but worthy of a 2% investment of £24. 

Venetia Williams horses are running well at the moment and I am hoping that this one will continue her current run of success and I'll be watching the race on AtTheRaces this afternoon.

This weekend I have risked 10% of the bank for a 5% gain on a couple of Football bets! No I haven't gone mad, it's just that I am using a system with a very high strike rate and I know that even if I lose my 10% I will quickly regain it over the following weeks. Unfortunately I am sworn to secrecy regarding the actual bets as it is not my system, but I promise I will reveal my secret source eventually when you have seen for yourself the progress made or not made! So that you can avail yourself of the information if you wish.

I have some good bets lined up for CHELTENHAM and I'll be able to share these with you soon.

well I backed the first five favourites at FFOS LAS yesterday - they all lost and then wouldn't you know it the favourites both won in the last two races which I didn't back! Man, sometimes you just have to have a wry smile at the things that happen. Still at least it was a 'controlled loss' and due to my win with ALLA SVELTA earlier and reduced stakes on the FFOS LAS selections due to better odds than expected my net loss was only £14.41, so not a disaster.

I have had three bets which I can share with you today: £12 to WIN on NEWCASTLE 4.20 TIPTOEAWAY at 1.91 and two £24 PLACE only bets on 2.30 EXETER Number 11 SEMI COLON and 4.00 EXETER Number 1 AZTEC TREASURE at 1.45 & 1.58 respectively. Both the PLACE selections are ridden by AP McCoy and have good prospects today, but Place bets are the 'safest' option.

Hi, well what started off as a good week ended with a few disappointments and I made a small loss as a result. My Headline today "Fall Down Seven Times - Stand Up Eight!" is a Japanese proverb which I think of when I lose a bit as it reminds me to 'never give up'.

Progress seems a bit slow at the moment but when I see those Bank and Building Society adverts offering a 'Fantastic 3.4% interest per annum' I know I am doing the right thing with my sporting investments.

Yesterday FIRST IN THE QUEUE was my winner in my Stop At A Winner bet as he was the favourite at the time I put my bet on, alternatively CLOUDY SPIRIT in the 3.10 won at 11/4. But then SAM LORD won at 16/1 beating my selections CATCH BOB and LIGHTENING ROD and BALLEYVESEY could only finish 4th in my Place bet, talk about rotten luck!

Today I am covering the first five races at FFOS LAS backing the favourites as we go and stopping when I hit a winner. I have to have modest stakes here because I am betting in proportion to my bank and my stakes will be (based on projected SP's), £3, £6, £7, £10, & £20 for a total risk of 3.87%

And according to the RacingPost the 2.00 at Newton Abbot should be between Number 1 ALLA SVELTA and Number 11 GLASSAWINE and I have staked £28 and £22 respectively for a total risk of 4.21% on this race. It is currently 12/1 bar those two in this eleven runner race so barring another SAM LORD type upset I should collect, hopefully.
