The £1Million Challenge
Excuse me while I just pinch myself! Another 5 wins yesterday. When I put these bets on I don't expect every bet to win. My objective is to make an overall profit on the day so it's very nice when they all go in.

My total gain so far this week is +£83.93 since Monday and my £1Million Challenge bank is now £1179.89. I am risking a total of 6% today on Horseracing and Football. I will share some of these with you; I have backed three horses for a 1% Win Treble: FONTWELL 1.00 Number 1 DEFINITY, LINGFIELD 1.10 number 1 CHEVISE and DONCASTER 3.05 Number 2 EMPIRE LEVANT. They are all at skinny odds which is why I put them in a treble in the hope of getting a worthwhile return if they all oblige. I have also backed CHEVISE of those three in a 2% win Single.

I am always looking for good PLACE prospects and I think that these two are reasonable prospects for success: FONTWELL 2.40 number 7 LOCO GRANDE and FONTWELL 3.50 Number 4 MANSHOOR. I staked 1% on each of them for a Place. I have also had a Footbal bet. My total stake is 6% of the bank.

If I do better than break-even today I will be a Happy Bunny, fingers crossed. See you tomorrow.

Hi everyone.

Well I am very happy to be able to report six winning bets yesterday. My only disappointment was the Willie Mullins horse AUGHALOOR but that's nothing unusual as I don't usually have much luck with the Irish races and I've lost a fortune on Willie Mullins trained 'hotpots' in the past! Still our bank grew by £30.91 and that means I managed to hit my weekly target in just three days! The total gained for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday was £60.50 Now the trick is trying not to blow it over the rest of the week.

I have had five bets today - three on the horses and two on the Football this evening. As I run a club it wouldn't be fair to my subscribers to share all of the bets with you, otherwise they would all cancel their subs and just follow this blog instead! So I'll share the horseracing bets with you today and they are two PLACE bets on the 1.20 at FFOS LAS on Number 9 PATEESE and call me a glutton for punishment but I've backed another Willie Mullins trained horse in the 3.50 at THURLES Number 1 BLAZING TEMPO also for a PLACE. I put 1% on each (£11). Then I have put 2% (£22) to Win on the 3.00 at FFOS LAS, Number 1 KERADA in this 4 runner race at skinny odds of 1/3 in the hope that the horse doesn't fall over or get turned over by one of the others.

My other two bets were also stakes of 1% on each of two football matches this evening. Hope I don't blow those gains! See you tomorrow.

Ah the ups and downs of horse racing! Had SILENT CLICHE in a Win Double with CHARMINSTER yesterday. Charminster won nicely but Silent Cliche fell after the Irish horse RADHARC NA MARA impeded him. And how many of us gasped in amazement when Robert Thornton unshipped off INVICTUS in the 1.40 at Leicester when he had the race in the bag? Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory! I don't blame Choc Thornton for losing his stirrup - done it myself - but it was just one of those jaw-dropping moments you watch in disbelief. - As the commentator said "well there's another way to lose your money."

I had TORNADO BOB and GEORGIO QUERCUS providing some consolation for me and consequently I only made a very small net loss of 0.22% overall on the day due to the 'surprises'. I need to make £25.20 profit before 12 midnight on Sunday to be on target this week.

Today I have backed ARALDUR and RADUIS BLEU in the 1.15 and 3.45 at HUNTINGDON in Place bets and also had Win bets on SILVERLORD and KAOLAK in the 1.05 at MUSSELBURGH and on AUGHALOOR in the 1.10 at LIMERICK.

I have also backed LIVERPOOL, CELTIC and RANGERS to win their matches tonight. All the bets are at 1% of the bank except for the Place bet on ARALDUR which is at 2%. Total invested today is 9% and as I said yesterday, I don't expect every bet to win, although it would be nice, but I am hoping to make an overall profit on the day.

Fingers crossed!

A good start to the public record yesterday with 4 bets and 4 wins. The bank grew by £32.12 (2.93%).

I had wins with two PLACE bets on MONOGRAM and A BRIDGE TOO FAR and two WIN bets on ALFIE SHERRIN and CHELSEA to win at Bolton.

Today I have backed four horses in two Win Singles and two in a Win Double. Total outlay is 4.72% and I am looking for a 1% gain on the day.

My weekly target is 5% and as I made 2.93% yesterday I only need to achieve another 2.07% from now 'til Sunday. I would have to be very unlucky to make a loss today. I certainly don't expect a 'wipe out' of my 4.72% investment, but we'll see what happens.

See you tomorrow

Monday, January 24th

24 Jan 11 12:35
Well here we go. Our club bank stands at £1,095.96 following wins at the weekend with GRANDOUET, HURRICANE FLY and CHAMIREY and a successful LAY on ARCTIC FLOW in the horseracing, and two wins on the Football backing MANCHESTER UNITED and ARSENAL. No losses.

Our 5% Win target this week is £54.79, which would see us end the week on £1,150.75 next Sunday.

Today we have invested a total of 4%, being 1% on each of two PLACE bets and a Win bet on the horseracing and a Win bet on the football. Total of £44 invested.

The £1Million Challenge

25 Jan 11 12:25
Some people will say I'm Nuts! But I firmly believe I can turn £1,000 into £1Million within four years.

I'm going to do this using what the scientific genius Albert Einstein called 'the eighth wonder of the world' - compounding.

If you put £1,000 into a spread-sheet and apply compound growth at just 5% per week, incredibly it becomes £1Million within three years - at week 142 in fact it becomes £1,020,656.91p

I'll be using Sports Betting, (primarily horseracing and football), as my 'investment vehicle' to see if I can make the mathematical model become a reality. Why do I say four years then instead of three? Well I like to take a month off each year for holidays, and then you get the snow and ice months here in England when normal progress grinds to a halt, so I don't want to be too hard on myself. Doing it in three years is possible, doing it in four should be a cinch!

The Reason

The power of compounding is common knowledge. I first wrote about it in my book 'The Magnificent Seven Professional Winning Strategies' which I first published in 2002 - you can get a free copy at www.7freesystems.com . But I never actually applied it as a 'modus operandi'. And then recently it struck me that if I just follow the mathematical route-map the path inevitably leads to riches - and I want a new boat!

Also, I recently found that some big organisations like Google and Facebook are not just the friendly face of modern technology which you might think. In fact they actively decide what people can and cannot see and this makes them Censors and not just your friendly Search Engine or Social Networking Site. I know this because I recently tried to advertise my sports betting book 'Fantastic Winning Systems'(.com) only to have my adverts 'disapproved' and pulled because they don't like 'gambling products'!

So I would like to prove to the guys at Google and Facebook and to every other person who says "you can't win at gambling" and "only the bookies win" that actually sports betting is a fantastic way to make money.

Hence my £1Million challenge! This will be a public record of my progress mathematically and financially.

Every day I'll be logging in to record what happened regarding my advised bets to my club followers and in due course, if you are suitably impressed that this is actually working, you can contact me and I'll give you the details on how you can join us.

See the pictures I have uploaded of the new boat I would like:

It definitely helps to have goals.

Wish me luck!
