The 9.20 is a poor distance race tonight and Scribe can win this in his first attempt at a lowly Class 6 race since he won one at this course in April off the same rating as now. His second placing last time out over course and distance is the best piece of form on offer by some way and with the Evans stable continuing in decent form he can take this. Currently around the 2.6 mark.
Zaplamation is in fine form and can go well enough under a 4lb rise in the weights and gain his 3rd win over timber. Its a tight handicap but his odds of 5.1 on betfair are just about tempting enough. His claiming jockey gave him a cute ride last time and similar tactics will see him come home first again.
In the first at Wolves Mrs Micawber can get her head in front for the first time. She ran a fair race last time out, her handicap debut when she failed to see out the eleven furlongs at Kempton Park. Back in trip today should be ideal and this is not a great race and wont take too much winning. She is around the 3.2 mark on betfair and thats about right for me.
The Ian Williams stable is in decent fettle at the moment and Drmlang ran as though this step up in trip would suit when he finished third in a Class 3 Novices race just a few days ago. His current price of 4.9 looks good to me.
The 12.40 is a weak Novices event with those who have ran in this sphere looking an uninspiring lot. Nicky Hendersons Stand To Reason was a 94 rated horse on the flat and should he turn out to be at least of moderate standard then he will take this. His current price of 1.94 looks good value in the context of this race.
Celtic Charlie often runs a decent race at Kempton having hit the frame 4/6 over 12 furlongs and further and appears to be way overpriced for this poor 12 furlong handicap, he's been placed in half of his all weather outings and is one of the few distance winners in the field. A definite each way bet for me.
