Just noticed barstools pick is a non runner.

Considering William Cody 1345 hrs Hunt, been beaten just a neck and 3/4 L in last two starts, collared on the line at Wetherby. Paul O'Brien back in the saddle having ridden the fav lto so hopefully and idea how to beat the fav. More than double the price of the fav @ 10/3 available a short time ago, more general 3/1 and I expect possibly 11/4- 5/2 by the off.
Worth a punt imo but will wait a while in case it gets hammered. |
By:
Gone for it as it looks like 3/1 might be possible.
By:
Should have been 33/1!!
By:
Been out most of day, didn't see the race but never mind, think you had 2/2 last round.

Hi lads, obviously we are in a precarious position i.e last place with few points. That said, apart from the leaders, a couple of winners will put us among the points if the previous Saturday scoring is replicated by the others. We need a wildcard selection today as acey is away so if anyone has a fancy let us have a look as early as possible.
Law of sod for you Foyles and I know what it's like, have gone 3 wins from last 4 in my other comp and you can guess which one I put up here. |

Morning guys,
I like two a lot over hurdles at Haydock. Step up in trip looks likely to improve La Pinsonniere in the 12.45 and Frontier Prince with the new headgear a solid ew chance in the second. FRONTIER Prince is 20/1 in a 16 runner race so will go ew in the comp to get some place points at least. Other one a suggested wild card if needed. Good luck to everyone else today. |
By:
Good luck barstool, have put up your wildcard.
By:
Never seen a horse given such a poor ride as Frontier Prince. No chance so wide.
Other horse not good enough either. Just hope someone has a better day. |
By:
Three picks left lads and getting in the points more important than going for fancy prices imo if we are to avoid nil points on the day!!

Have gone with Mehman EW 3.10 Naas, a model of consistency at Dundalk this winter and a good 2nd over 1m at Bellewstown on return to turf well clear of 3rd, handicapper put him up 3lbs for that run. Drawn in 3 so hopefully on right side today with the shorter trip likelier to suit better.
As with all these Irish h'caps plenty with a shout but so long as doesn't lose ground at start i'm hopeful of a decent run. |
By:
Good luck stew, we need some of your Irish magic.

Just noticed NEC had a 33/1 place but went for the win, well done NEC but shame no points. I have a feeling Billposter might have forgotten so we may need a wildcard, hope I am wrong and he posts but usually done so by now. Any suggestions just in case?
By:
Will put up Moon Angel 1605 hrs Asc for Barstool in a few minutes if he hasn't posted.
By:
Billposter apologies.
By:
Good run to get 4th NEC but 1/4 odds a place would have got us off the bottom. Only hopeful with mine, has past form to beat the Fav and shouldn't be too far off I bid you Ajou, other horse thought had a good chance is Inishfallen was decent last year and been backed.

Great effort stew, very close, well done.

By:
Off the bottom stew with one each left for us and the mob.
By:
Good luck with the wildcard Glen, i see you've gone for Marco again, lets hope he can win it might get us up another place.
By:
Have to hope Rage of thunder doesn't place now, otherwise it's Nil points.
By:
Sincere apologies to Billposter who had sent a PM this morning but which I failed to notice, fortunately his pick was unplaced or it could have been extremely embarrassing had it won. The only positive we can take from this round is that the points went to the right teams in terms of the overall competition.

That is good news Billposter, best of luck with your pick. Let us hope we have a full house of picks today with some winners, it won't be hard to improve on the last round tbf. It helps if you post selections here as well as the selections thread so that everyone can see what is going on, as always before 1430 hrs please and a couple of wildcards just in case needed.

I am going to take a chance on another Royal winner this week. Golden Orbit 1400 hrs Newb jumps up 3F from her sole outing last year and tackles 1m 2f. Her main rival has already finished 2nd over 10f but Sacred Ground did not convince imo. Golden Orbits trainer must think she needs at least this trip as she has a couple of Oaks entries. Sacred Ground is also entered at Epsom where they are 18/1 and 100/1 respectively, if that is a guide then Golden Orbit should be finishing in front here.
By:
Could have saved some time had acey posted his selection on here, as it is substitute my post for acey and you have his selection, hope it is a winner mate!! Foyles has gone for Sahlan 1435 hrs Newb, good luck Foyles.
By:
Have gone for Expert Agent 1527 hrs Nmkt, has won on the AW recently and carried that form over to turf when 2nd at Windsor, has run well here before. Just have to hope he races closer to the pace and not stuck behind slowing rivals.
By:
That's stopped my selection as i was going for Lady Roisia EW in the 2.00 but Acey and then Glen have both gone for stablemate Golden Orbit in same race, i'll look for something else now.
By:
Just noticed we have two selections in the same race, 1435 hrs. Another reason to post them on here otherwise it means searching through the selections thread and then it is too late to make changes if already posted.
By:
A bit of a shambles so far today stew, let's hope the results are better!! lol

Ok, far too many meetings to have a meaningful look at the form so have gone for a horse in great form, acts on any going and stays the trip. 3.25 Auteil Home By The Lee to win.
