Sounds sensible NEC, no idea why so many pick in the Derby in a normal year let alone today when even more guessing is involved, just read that Willie Carson said it was a coin toss when asked what he thought would win. He also said he is 100% certain they will cross over in the home straight, many imponderables.

Sods law NEC, original fav was 13/8 and wins after drifting. Never mind though it will be ours to lose in the last round and even a couple of points will do us I believe.

Looking at maybe getting an early start again and the first at Perth is where I have my eye. Concerns 3 lto winners imo and the fav is only fav because of the Skelton factor imo. I prefer Flying Ace stepping up to 2.5 M, like Kibris and the fav Trigg he won over the bare 2m lto.

Flying Ace finished 4th over 2m 3f in Ireland before that win and also 3rd in a 3m PTP and I hope will be more suited by the trip than the other two.The trainer knows what is needed having won 3 of the last 4 editions of the race and the 3/1 seems a fair price imo, drifted a fair bit and will keep an eye on the betting nearer the off in the hope it stays around 3s.

Actually Flying Ace won over 2m 1f, not the bare 2m, so less of a stretch for him than the other two. The 3/1 is mostly gone and 11/4-5/2 more or less across the board now which is still fair imo and will probably put him up here if not shortening to less.

Going to watch the Cricket now so alas cannot post later when I might know more. Putting up Dannick in the 5.20 Goodwood. Course, distance, going, handicap mark all ok. Just hoping today is the day after a few quiet runs to get the mark down. Worth the risk at the price.

Good luck barstool. Basically all we need this round is to score 2pts and we win overall, fail to do that and it still means The Shrewdies need to win. It is not a foregone conclusion but the odds are heavily in our favour, consistent scoring has got us this far so more of the same should do the job. No heroics needed and no need to think twice if you fancy a shortie even @ odds on so feel free.

Have put him up as drifting again with 10/3 in places so unless late money we should get decent points if he wins.

Good luck Billposter, as I said to Foyles, it happens to every punter without exception but at some point things will turn around, perhaps today. Not a lot to cogitate about at this stage when our mission is to secure 2 points and be aware it is not a given as we have finished last and second last earlier.

We have a buffer in that The Shrewdies would need to win with us in those positions but that is not impossible so bucking the trend of Saturdays i.e few points is important, a couple of scores would be handy!!

  A competitive race with a short priced Fav unbeaten in only 2 runs but makes for some EW value on others. AT has ran some of his best races in June and looked to be coming into form lto at Donny when 3rd on GF ground but todays Good ground should be better for him. His June/July form figures read 21129, 11 and 3. from marks of 86,88,89,95,95,99 and 91. Runs from 91 again today so hopefully has an EW chance from his middle draw.
   Always runs in C2/3 races and best run when 2nd in Buckingham Palace stakes last June off 95 with Never So Brave and Holquin 2 1/4 lengths either side of him, they are now rated 115 and 110 also had Myal in 4th now rated 107.

A drop in grade here having run in class 2-4 previously, class 4 lto over this trip at Goodwood, said to appreciate give in the ground and confirmed in the form so conditions should be fine.

Finished 4th last time behind Six Pack in 3rd who won easily the other day over 2f further so hopeful everything in place for a big run as the first two in that race are previous winners. Have taken the 2/1 and hope we get around that as going to put it up now, might still be in bed at the off.

  Was heavily backed on here reappearence run at Haydock when putting foot down the hole and getting pulled up, had been off a long time prior but was very good as a 3 yo, hopefully no lasting effects and should go well here for Gosden and Murphy.

Oisin made a poor decision to try and get up the rail and got stopped, would have been much closer but still got 3rd anyway, could have won that imo.

Doubt she would have beat the winner stew but getting points is the main aim, to try and finish 4th or better and you did that so well done. I need Daryz for the 3rd leg of a patent and treble ew and 365 going 2/1 Ombudsman which is often an omen, fingers crossed.

Could only get a £40 @ 2/1 for a saver.

If the draw is going to be decisive I think you are on the right side Billposter, had a small ew 6 places though we only get 5 but at 1/4 a place it would be handy, good luck.
